Trash bag liner inside res, safe?

I'm using Aeroponic setup, a la Stinkbud...In the interest of convenience I have been thinking about using a heavy duty trashbag/contractors bag as a liner inside my 27G StrongBox res. Im worried that the bag may give off chemicals that could be toxic to the plants? I hope its safe because it would save me countless hours of scrubbing with bleach, thereby saving my weekends...
Could the nutrient soup corrode the bag??
Please let me know if anybody has tried it and whether its advisable. I would be willing to change out the bag weekly as compared to scrubbing every few weeks. That would contribute to an overall more sterile environment, correct? I have had issue with rot if I dont scrub at least bi-weekly.

ya people grow inside Trashbags all the time.

dont use regular trash bags use contractor leaf bags less likely to rip and or leak
