transplating from 3 gallon pots

hey all,
im on week 5 of my grow right now. I planted my seeds directly into 3 gallon pots(soil). I was wondering how long my girls have until i have to transplant them out of 3 gallon pots. +REPS to whoever has the answer or any input.

i transplantes mines from 11litre pots after 7 weeks an 1 day, i felt i should have done it at 6 weeks but i did not have the pots at the time

if you planted in a 3 gallon and you're 5 weeks in (i assume this means veg time) you're close to transplant time. some ways you can tell if the roots want more space are if the roots are poking out of the drainage holes, or if foliage production has slowed or stopped. technically you can finish the whole grow in 3 gallon pots, but upgrading the size at this point will only increase the yield and health of the plant. btw 6 hours is not very long to wait for a response, especially when you posted the question at the butt crack of dawn. we're stoners after all. patience is the name of the game.
