2.5 is pretty small, i would use at least 5 gallons, or 3 if i have no other way.. but itll work..and now seems fine, it looks like the growth on top is a few weeks old so i imagine the root base is established enough to survive the shock your going to expose it to by transplanting. good luck!!

Well I thought a 5 would be too big for my grow room were if I stuck to the 2.5 I can fit 5 plants in the tent

Depending upon your lighting, 2 1/2 gal is fine...assuming that you are not going to veg for more than a month or so.
Good luck!

If your plan is to mother, I would top it while its vigorously growing in its current container and transplant a week later after its bounced back from the topping.

So the tip of the first true leaf tip is turning yellow and the base of the stem is yellowish does that mean my plant is slowly dying :wall:

First leaves gonna fall off. That's what they do. Not sure about the yellowing of the stem. I'll leave that up to a more experienced grower. Nutes or a water problem is my guess.

Ever since the transplant yesterday this one leaf has been getting worse

if that's the only leave don't worry about it root burn or damage in one spot plant to young for heavy feeding
Epsom salt for the magnesium is this true ? True i use at almost all watering in veg i use a pinch

I seriously doubt ANY deficiency in a plant this young. It is nearly always nute OD instead. Think about it. Why would a young plant be utilizing all the magnesium in tap water and the soil and need more?

I'd lower water ph to about 6.0, 6.2 let dry out between watering that leave well fall off new growth well look great don't worry
