Transplanting really neccesary?

Hi my plants are days old right now and have been planted in 6" pots. To me, the 6" pots look plenty big enough for them to veg and flower in. So my question is, is transplanting really necessary? I'll probably transplant my permanent mothers into 8" pots later on but as for the rest (if they're females) I think they will be fine in those pots, any comments on that?

dude, 6" is fine for now but if your gonna veg.-flower your gonna want more than 8" pot unless you s.o.g.

Depends on how large you are gonna let them get.

Ya Im doing a small scale SoG so I guess 6" will be fine for veg+flower, I only want them 1-1.5 ft high
