Transplanting question

Hey guys do you reckon I should transplant? Roots are just starting to poke out drainage holes. 2 wks old and thinking of putting into a 5 gal whenever it’s ready.

5 gallon might be too big still but if the roots are coming out the bottom definitely time to transplant.

If you don't plan to big of a plant I'd Wait a week and make sure the root poking out dosen't rest in water and it will prun it self. And if you want a stronger bigger yielding plant i would thansplant it in a tall pot. Like 12" high at least. Tap root will go to bottm at latteral root will have more ground coverage. Drill side holes in the next pot also it will prevent any rootball formation.

Like Lilmink mentionned. 5 gallons i'd do it especially for the height.. Just wet the soil befor adding it in. Put the plant abd put at disired height and top op the soil. You'll have a good print of the root spacing. Just slide it in and dont water. The root mass will absorm some water and the root will start runnin into the news wet soil. And wait a while before next watering. Look at bottom holes if you see moisture dint water even if the top is dry. Just used a few sprau instead. Let the root work for water first.

Get your pot reaxy now. Water the soil mix you use. Let it sit in open air then mix it back before puting in smart pot

Yeah. I said this cause he seems to have plastic pots. But yeah i would use smartpot especially the new one with double velcro that makes it so easy to transplant
The 5 gal will definitely be a smart pot I’ve heard great stuff about them I’m only using plastic ones for seedling stage

Simply transplant it into desired size you want ... 3/5 gallon , whatever.

You have time to PREP new home ... add your medium , take similar size container that you have in hand ( press that down into new medium) to make shape of plug you gonna transplant. Dampen slightly . Moist medium helps cushion any shock.

If you have some rooting powder or great white / myco / recharge or similar ..... sprinkle a little into hole then transplant.

About as simple as it gets.

I’m using canna Rhizotonic for root stimulator and nuturo gogo juice for the microbials, is it worth grabbing great white aswell? I have canna bio boost which apparently contains trichoderma but supposedly that’s for late flowering stage

Even a simple myco complex like xtreme gardening MYKOS or a scoop of Fox Farm Light Warrior works fantastic.
