Transplanting Question...Thoughts Appreciated...

So I fed my plants this morning...a 20-20-20 all purpose fert at half strength...I want to transplant them into thier final homes tonight...my question is was it a good move to have fed them and transplant the same day...or should I wait a day or two...any thoughts or comments are appreciated thanks

They should pull through fine.

I usually just use plain H20 when I transplant,or a diluted 50/50 compost tea

I find its a little easier to get the soil/root ball out in one piece if its a little on the dry side but if the pot is full of roots it will probably slide right out even if its damp.
