Transplanting 6" tall plants...

Hey RIU!

I've got 7 small ones in a long, rectangular trench pot in a small growbox and I can tell a few are probably going to be male, but since this is my first grow, I'm not going to assume anything, and just wait for tell-tale signs of gender. I'm going to keep the best 2 fems, but they are now at 7 fingered leaves, roughly 6" tall, and I need to make enough space for when they flower, since the box is only about 30 & 1/2" tall.. My question is this: When I transplant them to 2 seperate round pots, can I bury the stem a little (to give more room to flower and not touch the lamp) in the soil, almost to where the first set of nodes are? This will be their 2nd transplant, but they are very green and healthy. Please let me know what you think, and thanks in advance for any input!
