Transplant, soil level low.

It's been ten days since I transferred my flower into a bigger pot. I noticed the soil has compacted, and I did not have soil level high enough. With that, I am down about 2". I want to add more soil, so should I only add, maybe 1/2" at a time, maybe daily, or just add the whole 2"? What's your opinion… experience?

Agree, I'd even toss in some Recharge around the stem or Great White just for the hell of it. It's cheap and it seems to speed up rooting for me. You don't need it though.

I have problems with my damn fabric pots getting voids from not doing that enough. I have a really bad shoulder and worse back so I don't pick them up enough to tamp it down. I use a ruler to lightly tamp the sides as I water and do it half at a time.

Fill it. Further use something long and thin to aerate the hell out of the medium everywhere including under the plant and all the way to the bottom. After or before every feed and watering.

Then keep adding medium as needed to keep it as close to the top as possible.

Hmm... Coat hanger? Should I be concerned about damaging the roots?

I don't know what you're feeding them. But if you're top dressing it's nice to have a little extra space for later. If you're not top dressings top the pots off.
