Hey Hey,

This is my 1st post here and hopefully more to come so here goes my Q.
I started my grow 12/1 with 2 germ'd seeds in relatively smalls pots (1.4L) under 4 27W CFL's. Long story short is that I want to up size my pots to accommodate my plants and I don't know how.

Any feedback will be much appreciated, thanks.

nice lil setup u got there man good shit hows the temps n such???

Anyways to ur question

1. Make sure the soil isnt DRY DRY or WET WET, let it be the day after u water ( like a semi dry semi wet stage).
2. Tap the pot a couple times on all sides (even the bottom) to loosen the soil.
3. Put ur hand on the soil and have the main stalk of ur plant either between ur index finger n ur middle: or ur middle n ur ring w/e ur prefer i personally like to do it between my index n my middle.
4. Carefully turn ur pot upside down (REMEMBER TO HAVE THE PLANT STALK IN BETWEEN UR FINGERS) n give it a lil shake u should feel the root ball slippin right out.
5. Gently rub the bottom of the rootball to loosen the roots (help ur roots penetrate the new soil faster)
6. Pace in the middle of ur new pot.

I would suggest for u to transplant to a 1 gallon pot (4L) than from there to a 3 gallon pot n from there a 5 if u plan on going that long, by doing this ( going from pot size to pot size to pot size) u help the plant estalblish a better root system. instead of going from ur 1.7L to a 5 gallon that would be wastin soil, water, n space. When u transplant into a new pot make sure at least 1/3 of the new pot is fill with ur new soil mix and, have 1 inch of space from the top of ur pot to the new layer of soil.

Hope i was a help. BUDDAAAAAAA LUUUVAAAAAAA

Dude, so much help thanks.
Its about 77F right now under 24 hour lights with a small fan circulating the air. As far as the ph goes I dont know Im going to look for a tester tonight...

I think I'm just going to transplant this once to a 1 gallon like you said just cus' of the space Im dealing with. Im also going to try and flower in a couple weeks so Im not expecting the plants to get above a couple feet.

As far as soil in the new pot goes should i have it filled up to the top with a hole dug for the root ball then just place it in and pack a little bit around it?
Should I use any of the soil from the original pot or just toss that and use all fresh soil.

I just started a lil journal if you wanna check it out cus your plants look siiiick.

thnx for the compliment man appreciate it!!

As for the tansplant dont get rid of any of the dirt keep it all intact. Wat ur talkin bout sounds like a good idea but ive always done it by, fillin the pot up 1/3 of the way, puttin the plant in there, and than fillin in the sides but, thats juss me. I like the idea of urs but it will be hard to make a perfect fit or w/e, u know wat im talkin bout right??? When u do pack down the dirt pack it GENTLY n i mean GENTLY other wise ur gunna have soil that stays wet for daaaaays n u dont want that... O YEAH!! i forgot once u have the root ball in ur hand rub ur hand on the bottom of it to loosen up the roots but be GENTLE u dnt wanna rip em ( this help the roots get accumilated to the new soil faster) but yeah...
All im askin for is a lil click on my rep thing-a-ma-jig GOOD LUCK

just make sure the soil isn't too dry or else it will crumble apart once you take it out. Also, be quick! Don't expose the roots to the light for too long.
