Transplant from ground to pot

Just wondering if anyone has done a transplant from the ground to a pot. I just did with two of my plants the root ball stayed in tact and there was no major roots hanging out. I put them into 2 totes with amended peat moss and then packed them down with sheep shit. I'll take pics when I go back out to hook the light up they were sprung like chickens last I seen em a couple hrs ago. Is there any advice from someone who has successfully done this before or unsuccessfully for that matter?

I'm gonna snap some pics tonight hopefully they were in the dark all day just set up the light but forgot my phone then locked up the garage and I dont have the key. They're both still sprung like chickens I think they'll be alright.

Sure hope so. They can take a lot of abuse and get through. A little week root stimulator solution around the outer ring of where the rootball meets the new medium might help.
How old was the sheep dip? Too new might be too hot.
I've dug them and had it go both ways. But its been a long time. Thinking about digging up my largest plant now too.

I don't want to take her inside though. She wasn't supposed to live after being tossed at the wood pile and did anyway. Now its getting less light than needed. Never moved one this big but the lady of the house made it clear she would like it to be in a less conspicuous location.
I should document doing it. Like you are. Just made her a 30x30x24 planter box and am mixing the new soil. Good luck friend.

You’ll be fine. You should see the beautiful buds and green leaves on these 3 hermies. Laying outside with rootballs exposed for about 3 weeks now. With just a few sprinkles of rain. They’re extremely tough plants.

DO NOT OVERWATER!!!!!!

Cool, gl
Just an update, the plants are doing great they beefed up big time in just the last few days I think the sheep shit is having an affect, cant wait to see what these girls do.
Cool! Glad to hear that. Just did it myself. 20190915_180805.jpg Here's too hoping. My buddy and I dug her up today. We got a bunch of pictures and video of the process. And it went fairly smoothly too. Soooo, a few prayers for her please?

Well, so far so good. When we sat her down in the new planter she was tipped a little bit off from her original orientation (not to mention rotating her 180 degrees). And the branches were of course a little beaten up and bent from the move. Buds were upside down and such too. But we didn't break any off.

This morning all of the buds that were sitting funny last night had righted themselves back to vertical. Even ones that got bent (more than usual) are standing back up, or at least on their way.

Now its time to build a trellis around her for support. 20190916_085847.jpg

Well not as good this afternoon,. But that's to be expected. Definitely showing transplant disappointment... I figured she would. The root system was really wide. And a lot of the ends got damaged. Not to mention it got pretty hot today.
I believe she will pull through. Its just going to be tough for a few days

Well she ain't dead yet... still really p.o'd though. She definitely doesn't like the warmest part of the day. But in the evening she perks up a bit.

I must say I am not happy with the industrial hemp farms and ditch weed in the area. There are quite a few seeds that are showing now. At least the other three didn't get it as bad. They are going to push me inside year round.
It seem that the plant has decided to work on seed still instead of focusing on root repairs. ( Uggg! I should have just continued getting complained at about it). That's her prerogative though. Still thinking she's going to be fine in the end. And she was destined to be made into an extract for my ladies mother anyway. Tried to get a picture but battery was too low last night.

20190919_064733.jpg She is definitely doing better today ! Still a bit droopy but needed the dew shook off of her branches when I took this, this morning.
Good thing too. If she didn't perk up soon I was going to pull her out and cut my losses. Then cut the bottom off of another plants pot and set it in there.

Going to see if I can edit the videos down a bit today. But in the meantime, here's some pictures from when I first found her through the carnage we put her through. 20190720_110538.jpg
Startingto be mean to her as soon as I found her. 20190720_110636.jpg

But she seems to like it. This is ten days later. I had started topping, training, and root zone development as soon as I found her. I made bat guano tea with honey for her and she loved it.20190801_064618.jpg

As often as I did super cropp training (which was almost every single day) she kept standing up again. So I started weighing this branch in particular down with a railroad spike. It had been staked down but kept pulling the stake up while I was at work. Eventually she lifted the spike up too 20190818_104236.jpg
