Trainwreck on steroids

Hi, check out my trainwreck (pic below), @ 16 days from seed!!! no jokes.
this only being my second grow pretty chuffed so far, just hoping it stays that way.

I started the seeds on formulex with ro water at a ph of 6
once germed and grown literally just 4 leafs (excuse my terminology its been quite a while) i transfered them straight into flood & drain hydros with a ppm of 10 and ph of 5.7. within just 4 days in hydros they seemed to be florishing quickly so i up'd the ppm to 12,000 and ph down to 5.5. now 16 days from seed ive now up'd the ppm to 15,000 and got the ph stable at 5.2. no signs of any nutrient burn what so ever and is it just me or are most of them huge for just 16 days from seed? another 5 days and ill up it to 18,000 ppm

Equiptment

esoteric hydropod flood n drain
2x400 hps in cool tubes
5" silenced ducting, fan, silencer, 6" huge carbon filter with 5" reducer,
house and garden hydro nutrients

greenhouse seeds trainwreck @ 16 days from seed

i could agree with that, 10/10 seeds germed within 48 hours, but quite possible that the feeling that i have been pushing the nutrients to the limit might have something to do with it.
well whatever you did worked haha, keep it up homez:joint:

day 17

cabinet with doors off.

(really should tidy those wires)
passive intakes

current config:
4 minutes flood / 4 min drain every 3 hours
ph 5.2
ec 16,000 ppm house and garden hydro nutes
20/4 light cycle

have a harvest master controller, c02 gas bottle n digital regulator, auto ph doser, auto nute doser and a auto humidity mister on order :)

as it happens there an internet router already in the same room, so will rig it up to the harvest master so i can monitor everything at work via net :)

my only concern is the hight restriction of my cabinet.. was originally for a lowryder grow.. never grown trainwreck before so any suggestions on how much longer i should veg for before switching to 12/12 most welcome. cheers

Damn, I've never commented before, just looked, but I love your setup man. It's pretty much exactly what I dream of mine looking once I get a new house ^^ :joint::joint::joint:

Looks good. What fan do you have on the filter? Any proplems pulling air through the bends in the ducting? I read that you lose like 20% power for every 90deg bend. Could you stand the filter up so the opening is on the bottom then to the lights? You may want to shorten the flex duct to the shorter the run the better. It looks like you have a bit you dont need just off the filter. OH and it looks like you have a false door how do you close it up?

im using a 5" 495 cfm inline acoustic fan.. and as far as i can tell by looking thro the passive intakes when the whole thing is sealed, ie the two doors are in place, false doors lol (i just use boards that act like door except no hinges, much easier to get around), the ammount of curculation seems to be excellent, literally every leaf is moving with circulation without any need for any additional fans and the cool tubes are working nicely. dont see any reason to take away any of the ducting. n that filter is huge n wont fit inline with the cool tubes unfortunatly.

Cool it looks like its gona be tight in the room. Maybe you can trtain them to go short and not taller.

now at 19 days ive switched them on to 12/12 and flower nutes at 16,000ppm, with intention of keeping em stocky. something im new to but makes sense is to get the ph back up to around 6 and then even 6.5 before knocking it back to 6 again. as im told different nutes are absorbed at different ph level so having that swing is a good thing. think i may have gone slightly too low before but doesnt seem to have had any negative effect
