Trainwreck - I think there's something wrong

Hey this is my first hydro grow. I'm seeing some discoloration on the leaves, is this a problem? If so how best to remedy it?



They're under 600W HPS, bioponic medium (soil hydro) and have been flowering about a month.

Thanks for the fast response! From that page, it looks like a Zn defiency. I found pages like that before, but none as good as that. I thought it was magnesium and had been feeding that to the plants. Thanks again.

If it's your first hydro grow, it could be one of a thousand things. My suggestion would be to read over the thread that amsterdamned left. If you still arn't sure, check the sick plants section, there are a few good guides.

Other than that, i can't help you untill I get a little more information. What nutes are you using, and in what concentration? what is your ph? how about temps? how close are the plants from the light?

I'm not too experienced with your growing style, but generally speaking I have found that soil needs few nutes, if any. If you are adding alot of nutes, that's probably the problem.

Also, nearly always err on the side of too much nutes, as apposed to too few.

and some bacteria which increase the availability of nutrients.

I use the concentration it says to use in the BioSevia chart - 20ml/10L
pH comes to 6 or just below when I add the nutes to the water so I dont adjust it (although it is checked regularly and I have the means to adjust if necessary). Lights are 6 inches from the tops of the plants. Temps... now that I have not been monitoring too closely. It never gets too high anyway, but it could be a bit nippy at night.
