Training a Plant

Hey I have a little 5 inch plant that i want to train to grow like this


So far I have done this

and here is what it looks like


The idea is to allow more sunlight that is being blocked off by foliage from nieghboring heads. Tell me what you think. Am I a total dumbass or what?


P.S.- The string that is holding down the two shoots is not very tight, would it help to make it more tight or would that hurt the plant?

for sure. I just saw that it has started flowering,(so late in the season) so it wont grow alot more. dang. this would be fun to try with a bigger plant in season.

Mine knows the STAY command... and it will soon teach me how to roll over and play dead.

Yea I also tought it to shake hands

try growing them sidways ive done it twice but it takes longer and you do get alot more light throught out the plants

Put a fan on it, it will get used to the wind and sturdy itself up making a thicker stalk.
