Trailer Park Blueberry

The next blueberry seeds I'm popping

3 seeds of Blueberry Rain(blooberry Skittles x tiki rain) by Tiki Madman.

6 seeds of vintage bb akbb
3 or 4 of 907 x mob akbb

4 or 5 of I'm Blue ( Djs bb f5 x M5 ) by Bhang!
I got a whole pack of these as a freebie among other freebies from dagga gardens when I ordered the Straight 907 blue genes which I'm not running

Im running the Tiki Madman seeds because he has real cheap seeds and he sells regulars which I like but mostly because his gear is consistently better than any other plants I have in my tents next to his. And I don't tell people what breeder we're smoking and everyone likes his the best without knowing the difference between breeders. Shoutout to tiki madman good shit cheap. Just saying and shout-out to dagga coming in with the freebies freebies are almost as important the seeds I ordered.
I know running just a few seeds from a pack isn't giving these strains a fair shake seeing as how I could end up with two males and the one runt female out of a whole pack with best ones not getting a chance but I can only run so many and I have other strains I want to try

These vintage blueberry seeds are popping and getting tails but when I put them in solo cup with soil some of them are not responding well just like the trailer park. I used the 707 roots organic which is not as hot as roots organic but still some of these seedlings just aren't thriving they might not make it.

I've read that bb s are sensitive and to nitrogen and the trailer parks I ran did get burned when I added just a little nutes. I'm getting some that are doing well but part of me thinks I missing out because the more sensitive seedlings are the ones that would be the better bb s in the end.
Idk thinking about trying coco or promix or something maybe find a soil with the least amount of nutes.
Anyone you guys have any similar experiences with the blueberry seeds or is it in my head?PXL_20241014_174641489.jpgPXL_20241014_174634685.jpg

Yeah they're pretty n sensitive. On the vbb you have to give them lots of root space or they'll start flowering sometimes. It can be a desirable trait. A good organic soil helps. I used about 60%coco 20%compost and 20%worm castings with a little blood meal, kelp, bone, ect. But yeah they don't like too much nitrogen salt. P and k should be kept moderate until about 3 to 4 weeks into flower imo. After 3 or 4 weeks phosphate can be increased a bit. They're not hard to grow but it takes a few runs to get a feel for them. I really enjoyed growing his mobxvbb. Has some more easy to grow chunky indica leaning stuff in there. But yeah I enjoyed the hell out of all his gear.

Im gonna mark the more sensitive ones and see if they turn out to the better ones. If they make it. Maybe the more sensitive the better the bb

Might have to go promix which I have zero experience. I'm gonna shoot him an email and see if he has any advice or insights

Totally. I also found that insect frass and liquid silica in my nutrient solution helped helped with height and stretch. I used about 1/4 to 1/2 the recommended amount of silica.

Insect frass and silica what's that
NEW Hydroponics Organic Insect Frass 2-2-2 Plant Food Nutrient Blooming Enhancer https://a.co/d/6x5Pba7
Power Si (250ml) https://a.co/d/c20VKGL
The insect frass makes the plant think it's being attacked by bugs when it's not so it grows more vigorously. I tend to use it lightly during veg and a little once or twice during the first 6 weeks of flower. The silica helps with over and underwatering by strengthening cell walls. I cut out the silica during the last month of flower because it seems to make too much biomass. During veg and early flower it strengthens the stalks so no need to use stakes for floppy varieties. You have to be careful because your roots can dry out but the plant will still look like it doesn't need to be watered. When I use silica I always pick up my pots to see how heavy/how wet the root ball is. It's my favorite amendment I've found in the last 20 years.

Thanks I'll check it out

Dave emailed me back said they aren't sensitive to over under feeding and they should grow out of it.

I think I'm just overthinking it. I do that

I pulled a seed of the number 2 pheno and put in water then this riot rooter and sprouted feels good. The plants could be chopped any day but I think I will let them grow longer let more seeds mature. The tops I didn't pollinate so I could chop them soon I was checking trichs on the plants and that no 2 really has a strong sweet blueberry when you get to looking at it. I saw someone post a pic of blueberry pie filling as description of the smell and that's dead on. And the 2 pheno also has the fattest main cola of all.PXL_20241016_050436235.jpgPXL_20241016_050436235.jpgPXL_20241016_061248511.jpg

Had to cut the top of the no 2 pheno I found some bud rot in the top colas of the no 5 and no3 phenos. There were no signs of it from looking at the buds but I was pulling leaves and then noticed it I cut the tops and tossed them. This n0 2 pheno didn't have any but I cut it anyway just in case it starts. Gonna cut them all down this weekend.
I thought I had bud rot in the lower buds but the color was from the seeds casings turning brown and opening up. They look like they are maturePXL_20241018_050658883.jpgPXL_20241018_045419608.jpg

Some pics of the plants as I'm cutting them down. The one in this pic also has a great bb smell this the #4 pheno. All these plants are super dense they are heavy.theres one that's not as dense as the others and that one is still super dense compared to other
strains. There's bb smell in some degree to most of them but the #2 pheno is the best one for now. I cut that bb down first and wet trimmed and put in the garage on hanging rack. When I came back in the garage with the second one I cut down I could smell bb in the air. It's weird when I put them right in face it's sometimes hard to tell but when I walk into another room when I'm not expecting it the bb smell hits me. I wonder what the drying and cure will bring I'm keeping seperate all through the cure and drying. Some of these phenos might come on stronger then. Some of the stalks and stem are a deep purple too

These would be bigger if I vegged them longer but I'm impressed with the size of these colas

I'm happy I ran these. This is my first bb run of anything and I have the one I think is best clones and in dwc with another clone in the cloner I keep her around til I find something better. I have a few more strains I'm going to grow plus the seeds from the #2 pheno and see what I get from those as well as the others. I'm not running as many seeds from each strain as I did with the trailer park so they're not getting as fair a chance as it did but I'll see. These buds on the trailer park are really nice though. The clone I have in the dwc is topped and growing fast that one is going to veg longer be given a better chance to really produce. It's going to be my first dwc grow and first grow of a clone by me. Looking for to the seeing how the vintage bb, I'm Blue (djf5xm5 ), 907 BG x mob, and blueberry rain by tiki madman stack up. Tiki has some good gear I'm wondering how that one will do. Plus the I'm Blue by Bhang! Dog (dj short f5 x sssc m5) will go. Djf5 and m5 should be fairly stable lines I wonder if there will be any hybrid vigor

They are almost done drying probably Monday. I could do it now really but I think Monday should be good. I might try the #2 pheno tomorrow. These are some real dense buds.
