got the strands, got em goin at about a month. i've been feeding bloodmeal constantly and they seem to grow waaaay too fast (like an inch a day). Should i slow down on the blood meal? they're pretty bushy now too, after some stretching problems. my ph is neutral (6.5-7.8). my lights are 2 HPS 400W now and my temp near soil is at 77 degrees. i'm out of town so i can't post pics.

my query really is about why the heck my soil is doing so well ph-wise and i know the old saying, "if it ain't broke," but this is my first grow. what is going on with my soil? do i need to add acidity? AAAAAHHH!!

Bloodmeal only has nitrogen if I remember correctly.
Nitrogen encourages stem growth.
You probably don't need to feed it as much bloodmeal as you do, it can only use so much.
Your ph is fine.

7 is fine obviously. i'm not complaining or asking for help to change it. but i hear that bloodmeal increases the acidity of ur soil which can be detrimental to your plant's health. do u think i'm just clogging my soil and salt is building up?

?????? what he hell? oh well, for perfect soil acidity, use my tap water, tons of bloodmeal, and organic soil.

the problem is i'm adding a ton of stuff to my plants, they are responding (at least i think) and i'm getting no change in ph. the problem is that is nothing out of the ordinary going on. i follow grow journals and have watched all the grow vids. this just doesn't make sense.

p.s. my largest stem, at diameter, is 1/2" thick.

i'm just scared i'm screwing something up for down the road.

you said they look really good. i like to feed for a week or so then give a watering of straight water. even every other watering works.

they look like the plants that ppl seem to agree upon 'looking good' on this site. that is not to say something isn't the matter. i flushed a week ago. i'm about to flower, all plants are in 2 gal buckets now. what do u say about a flowering fert? should i continue to overdose?? what about a specific npk or brand of fert?
