Well whilst stoned i ordered some seeds thinking they were autos.I planted both around the 1st of june. After 6 weeks of growing in a closet under a ufo bulb + cfl lighting i though these should be at least showing sex by now???But they were still in veg , i looked back at my order and realised id ordered just fem strain not auto`s .OMFG. yes i did feel like a plank.....So with the lovely uk sun out i thought id stick these babies in the sun and grow them outdoors in the nice big back garden we had.But then we moved ....these babies have been outside all the while since and are both fem .I bring them in when theres complete downpours is this ok? In my new garden i can hide them both but im worried about the smell when in full flower, and also do i just leave them outside now or do they need 12/12 , if not when would i be looking at harvesting. My neighbours are like right next door but their gardens are full of plants and flowers themselves , is there anything i can plant to disguise the smell this time of year in the uk ?? I do live next to a sewer plant luckily(?) which most days makes the air pong which is a bonus. Also my big fan leaves have some little cracks in them but doesnt seem to affect growth. The plants are supping up well just of late / i added some bio bloom and the pot was light after just one day , is this normal?I dont know the pot size their in sorry ... why dont they write the pot size on the pot in the uk??? their the biggest indoor pots u can buy in b&q in the uk if thats any help.

Biggest pots in b nd q are 5gallons, unless they updated the stock to bigger ones...or where out of big ones so you got 3 gallon...ha,,measure the pot and find out how big ay,,you could even use that equation to work out how much the taper of the pot will reduce the volume..
depending on where you are in the uk , in the north here, about 20-25 sep is when you get to full 12/12 , if your worried about lighting and that go to time and date.com ,
. The other problem with that would be night time temps but sure if the cultivar is quick to finish then all good.
for the smell im not sure but late bloomers like 'mums' , chrysanthums sorry, but they dont smell to much. Maybe just a manure pile near to the plants may help...cant think of any late herbs for you as they smell abit,,like sage,or chives..

take it easy..

Those plants look great dude, very lush, i take it you just watered that one at the back,,hence the droppy leaves,,very nice though..

And as i thought those are either 3 or 5 gallons,,more like 5 going by the size of the plants compared to the bbq,,
Awsome, best of luck with the rest of the grow..

Their into flower now and were due to have some light rain this coming week (its not chucking it down but its quite persistent) Should i leave them out in the rain or bring them in and leave them where their still getting some light? Im around most of the time so i can bring them in and out as necessary according to the rain . Please excuse my dog he seems to like getting his photo taken :)

Hey,
Ha, awsome, guard dogs for your pot.

Well i guess its really your call, im sure they will be fine if they get some rain on them for the first 4 weeks or so, but the issues could be later on when you have small nuggets formed, as standing water on buds isnt good, for mould etc. Especially if its going to rain later on in day/evening. The other thing with heavy rain later on in flower can be that all the beautiful white hairs die back, before they are meant too, which could slow down bud growth. Delaying harvest...
I guess also if you are wanting to feed/water them yourself then bringing them in is best to keep the soil drier,,infact thats a good point, if it rains all day or heavily the soil could get too wet,
So yeah your call,

Plants looking great though, awsome, hope this season is nice and dry for you..

Take it easy...

Its still pissing it down most days , I have enough cfls for 1 plant in a closet .

should i switch 1 plant back to indoors under cfl or will the lights be to weak now its use to sunlight? its cloudy outside all the time at the minute , typical of british weather !!

The plant can get mould or rot if it there's too much humidity and not enough ventilation. When they grow some sticky buds, water can get trapped easily in there. There are strains more resistant to rot too. I leave some in the rain, but if they are too bushy I try to keep them dry.
Your plants look really good.

ok i think i got p lockout on 1 plant , they hadnt been flushed at all since potting. so i flushed them with hosepipe (prob a stupid idea now) about a week ago . The soil still seems clogged although the pots are getting lighter slowly . They are supposed to be done in 4-5 weeks .Small roots now showing at bottom of pot .
1 R they root bound?
2 can i repot this late in flowering
3 can i move them indoors under cfl
4 did the hosepipe prob shock the roots?

Hey,, just to say when ever i 'flush'/ leach my soil (thats any leach before the flush for a week at the end..)it takes extra long to dry out, say maybe a week, for a 3 gallon to dry.

You can always repot, but maybe a waste of soil/time. If you want to add soil for nutrition you could always top dress.

If your hose was just connected to the cold, and it was cold water then yes maybe you did shock them,,

also depending on whats in the bottom of the pot they will be air pruned at the bottom so it fine. Maybe next time use expanded clay or rocks or shredded pottery to give that air pruning effect along the bottom.

Take it easy..

Thanks , the pots finally dried out . They still seem ok , had the bottom set of leaves yellow up and die off on both plants but other than that they seem all good. Do they look about right for just short of 5 weeks flower? The breeder states 8-9 weeks flower , im hoping this is accurate as i have relatives coming to stay on the 25th of next month lol :)

They both seem to be supping up well again :) But some of the lower fan leaves are now feeling a bit brittle , could this be due to the temp drop outside ? Im in uk and bringing plants in of a night time and putting out in the morning . They are getting 11/13 . The top fan leaves still seem really healthy other than the odd bug that keeps helping himself.
The lower leaves are not brittle to the point they would crumble just really dry to the touch and some have a few splits in them? Yellowing of lower leaves seems to be increasing as well but im assuming thats due to the flush ? Im using bio bloom nute , when should i switch to just ph`d water?
