Using FF nutes as of about a month ago after coming to this site and learning about them. Wished I'd had done it sooner b/c then they REALLY took off!.... but so be it. Thats why they call me a newbie I reckon. Been growing these Jamaican girls from seed since April outside in Miracle Grow soil. two of the plants that are doing nicely are in about 5 gallon pots and the third in maybe a 3-4 gallon pot and that one seems to be growing only fan leaves...ugh If these photos aren't good enough let me know and I'll shoot more tomorrow. Edit: After re-looking at the photos here in preview I think only the second photo is any good for y'all to see anything....more to come tomorrow..sorry.

I'm afraid here in Eastern Jersey I may not have enough warm weather left to get these girls where they need to be...wahhhhhh. Praying for an Indian Summer.
Whattya ya think? Say it ain't so.

I think you're ok time wise and the plants look real fine. In the end you may have to put them under plastic if you fear frost but I think you'll be ok with due dilligence

Thanks my brother...yeh..they're real healthy. Just worried I won't get enough warm weather to get em' to maturity. You know how us parents worry about our kids...actually I think I'm more worried about these girls than my own human kids at this point...lol....Hey...you know how I must feel after this much nurturing as a newbie father. and like I said..the third plant in that smallest pot has nothing but fan leaves. the other two are super healthy. I may start drinking those FF nutes myself....lol

Hey doser thanks...yeh yeh.. I was thinking I may have to build a green house around em'. They don't call me abuilder fer nothin' : ) I was worrying myself so sick today that I totally forgot about that. thanks for the reminder!!! More closer up photos to come tomorrow. Hey...another quick question. Been collecting rain water to water them with exclusively and lately when it rains I put them under an overhang so the actual rain doesn't water them because at this point I wanna water them "every" time with nutes. Am I being overly cautious or would you do the same. Those nutes are AWESOME and I don't wanna loose any time without them. Got a three bottle set off of amazon for just under $50. Well worth the price! I'm only using two of the bottles though because one of them apparently is for when you just start the seeds.

I think there will be a good Halloween Harvest at your house! Everything looks fine 2 me, looks like they're in the beginning of week 2 of flower you should still get another 12-30 inches, If it gets cold you might get some nice color out of them.

OK...Here's some photos I took this morning. Best I could do it seems. I'll repost in another week or two as they start blooming more. one that seems to be growing nothing but fan leaves. seems odd (no photo). Maybe I should transplant it into a bigger pot but it IS getting kinda late into the season to perform miracles. Thanks for the comments people.

These plants are 6 daze further along than my first post btw..
Dig my Saturday morning genius...lol. Was thinking yesterday that I need to transplant two of my girls but was afraid to disturb their roots at this point so I came up with this idea. Buy two new cheap pots ($9) and cut the spackle bucket with my Fein Multimaster tool (the orange tool next to the spackle bucket). It cuts through anything straight on by rapid vibration rather than a the conventional way of cutting. It just sorta buzzes through things. So I filled up the bottoms of my new pots...put it below the spackle bucket pot..filled the bottom with new soil...cut out half the bucket and slid it out and right into the new pot. THEN...I used the piece I cut off the bucket as a scoop/shovel to pour soil and it fit perfectly around the perimeter of the new pots to jiggle the soil out of and into the new pots. Added my $uper nutes and I'm good to go. I rock! lol. Glad I'm so entertaining to myself..hahahaha.
Only problem might be not getting enough warm weather left to get my girls to maturity which means an hour or more building a green house around em'..ugh. Was thinking if I had to I could buy some 3/4" PVC tubing that comes in 10' lengths ($2 each at HD) and bend em' into half hoops. Fasten the ends to my deck (which is rotting and I need to replace anyway)over the pots and cover'm with 3Mil plastic...maybe even put one of my heaters that have a thermostat in them into the hoop house greenhouse at night. this is turning into quite a project...haha

Anyone have a clue how long before these girls come to maturity?
Thanks everyone

Hey there girl....I'm another female newbie, and I agree with you. We baby these more than our own children, or grandchildren in my case. Mine is at about the same stage as yours, grown in a 5 gal Miracle Grow soil pot. Started my pure AK seed by using an aerogarden until the plant was 1 1/2 feet and put her outside. Only grew 1 and thankfully she was a she. Haha. I picked up a greenhouse half price last week, so I'm going to put that together this weekend. Our first frost is usually October 5th and I know this girl is gonna push it to the end of the month.

Congrats on your girls....they look great!

Sure wish I had an idea how much longer these babies will need. I'm "guessing about 3 weeks??". No real clue. Halloween harvest?? Hope sooner. Sure is getting kinda cold out. The past week I've taken them inside at night which is a PITA but I did buy some 10 foot- 1/2" pvc pipe at Home depot and some connectors to make each piece long enough to bend and get a good 5' of height in the center. 4 half hoops stuck into 2x4 that I'll cut about 5' long with 1/2" holes drilled in them. Screw the 2x4's down to the deck and insert each piece of pipe into the holes. cover the whole thing tightly with 3.5 mil poly I also bought at Home Depot. The entire thing cost me about twenty bucks or less!! I'l put an electric oil filled room heater in it that has a thermostat built in..into the hoop house and pray...lol.
..and ayyyup...I baby these Jamaican girls like my grandson...lol. Just wish I knew how much longer they had...also wonder what kinda weight I might get. It's just for my own personal consumption. So much I wonder/so little I know...lol.

I hear you. I'm growing for chronic pain, personal stuff. Haven't been near anything like this since the early 70's. But I am enjoying the knowledge and the study. Sounds like you are preparing yourself for the cold. I had to take Sally in twice due to frost, but thankfully our temps have warmed up again. Still I do think the colder nights are dragging this out. This is certainly my first learning experience. I will try an indoor over the winter with my aerogarden and see how that performs. Its a great tool for seeding and the veg growth. Maybe I can be better organized next year. (Somehow I doubt that....lol)

Looks good and healthy. Yeh...the weather is changing quite a bit. Bringing mine in at night isn;t that bad but they are really heavy. the pots I transplanted them in I'm guessing are about 7 gallons because they were in 5 gal spackle buckets and these are bigger. The Fox Farms nutes I bought from amazon REALLY gave them a huge boost. Three bottle kit cost me about fifty bucks. Wished I'd had used them sooner but live'n learn. Like you I haven't done this since the 60's-70's and even back then I never got anything like these girls. These girls seem to be packed with buds : ))) I'm so excited...lol. I tried last year and the plants were all males..grrrr...so allI got were tons of seeds from a batch of not so great ganja. Reckon that means the seeds probably aren't that great either. Too bad.
My chronic pain is probably different than yours. Mine comes from building every day... I think thats called working...lol...hey..pain is pain, ya know..and I don't drink so....lol

I think we both should try to find ways to keep them outside to the finish. The greenhouse I picked up was from Home Depot, $69 for a 5' x 5' x6.5'. I have an indoor/outdoor thermometerso I can read the temps from inside. Handy little thing. Everything I'm reading says to finish outdoors when you can. I really don't have the lighting set up for indoors yet anyway. Go with your makeshift greenhouse. Has to be better than lugging those things in and outl Talk about chronic pain....lol! Also was told that 4 litre jugs painted black can also raise the temps at night in the greenhouse. I wonder how we will do????

Looks like it's supposed to get cold starting this weekend so figured I better get goin' on building my three girls a warm place to finish maturing. As a newb I'm not real sure but I figure they prolly have another three weeks or so??
I also bought a hand held lighted microscope at Radio Shack for $13 (see...I'm gettin' into it : ) and the trichomes look to be pretty clear so far. Pretty cool seeing them. Takes a little practice getting that thing to work outside with my head in my plants while trying not to touch or disturb them too much. The tip of my microscope sure got sticky though.

OK..so dig these photos. cost me about $20 in materials and about three hours work. Very portable when I wanna take it down and store it.
All I did was drill some 1" holes in a deck I have to replace anywayz and slipped in 1/2" PVC pipe. I also used connectors to add 5' of additional PVC on to get some nice height (5'-+).

I'm figuring if I have to I can put one of my electric oil filled heaters that are on a thermostat in there and set it on low..or whatever it takes being careful of my extension cord naturally. Wouldn't wanna start a fire now

Right after I finished building them their home the sky opened up and rain came a POURING down....
...you can see in the last photo the rainwater pouring off the tarp cover I have next to the greenhouse I built...must mean the Gods luv us....Rasta-far-i-a

wow ma'am, those are some really impressive and beautiful ladies you got there. i'm drooling at the thought of them sexy girls.
Yeh man..me tooooooo. sure wish I knew how long my girls have to go. I'm kinda clueless which was why I bought a hand held microscope..not that, that tells me much right now..makes me feel like Mr.Wizard though...lol. I'm so dying to cut one bud off and try it but I won't...ugh.
