Ok so I saw one of these at Ace hardware and decided what the heck and got it. Here's a pic of a clone I put in it and the rest of my veg plants. We'll see how it goes! I plan on pulling it as far down as it'll go so I can have a wall od buds in the corner of my flower room, that would be the bees knees!!! haha:bigjoint:

lol Thanks you guys I will update frequently. I can't wait to see how it turns out!! If it works I can use it to increase grow room efficiency. My flower room is full but the sides are still open. That light will no longer be wasted! ;-)

Who knows I just may start a new trend among growers, lol :bigjoint:

Its still alive! And the leaves have all turned themselves upward which is pretty cool! I put a cfl right under it after I took this picture so it will grow down more hopefully. All is well though! It's definitely gonna be cool to see how this thing grows!

I am so subscribed to this....I just bought my wife one of these today at CVS and after I setup it up...I was like, "Shit, I bet cannabis would work in this too"...Lol I'm all about using up my grow space too. I maybe be just a week behind my own attempt at this. :bigjoint:

curious to see if main stalk breaks under weight of budding plant...watering will also be interesting (well, not really lol), as the plants prefer less water to the top roots compared to the bottom roots... :joint:good luck

p.s. i been had one of these..i prefer my tomatoes in the ground, tho, as they are a great natural repellant to many garden pests..so i never used it..wuz thinking about how it might do indoors for the sacrament..so let's see :bigjoint:

thereis a couple other threads where guys have tried this the plants still grow up but i havent seen where someone kept a light directly below it so it will grow to the light just watch out when she is flowering when you water the run off goes straight to the buds so watch for mold , bud rot , mildew ..... good luck keep us informed

I bet the the stem is much stronger from bending towards the light source! But I do see myself tying up some buds though!

Definitely will be interesting to see how it likes the soil drying from the bottom of its roots instead of the top!

Thanks for the advice! I didn't even think about that! I think I may build a water deflection device of some sort, but this may also not be a problem because I'm only keeping cfl's under it to grow it down further, once I put it in flower it will have t to stretch to the side to reach the light, hopefully it gets out of the way of the drip in time!

She's lookin healthier! As you can see the branches are reaching toward my 400w mh that is next to it. This is definitely gonna be cool!

Last pic is of the cfl I put under it which doesnt make much of a difference, lol
I have done this before as well. The CFL won't do anything underneath it, as you can probably tell all its leaves have flipped over.

I would have vegged it out to at least 12" before flipping it upside down. The plant will grow up once it gets around the pot, thats OK, you are still saving the floorspace where the pot could have been.

Goodluck with this one.......

Thanks, great advice! The only problem is I have no Idea how I would get the a 12" vegged plant in that thing as there is a small(ish) hole where you put the plant in which kind of limits you to clones and smaller plants. I had this particular clone in an aerogarden but the roots were getting outta hand and taking over all the rootspace so I stuck it in this.

Just a quick little update to show you the progress it has made. It's really starting to bush out! And it seems to be growing faster than other clones!

I think I will start hanging weights on branches to get then the grow down further instead of it growing up the side of the thing.
