Im not going out until the end of May too.Says who? I'm not putting mine outside until late May...You could start a seed indoors and just keep it under a couple CFL's till it's time to plant. That's what I'm doing, you have plenty of time!

I hope mine does ok with the heat where I live . I burry my other pots in the ground for heat reasons. Steady 100 f is normal and 110 for weeks at a time aren't out of the question sometimes. My in ground 25 gal pots take mucho water twice a day when it's hot. The tomato Turvy pots aren't that big really. Does root bound come into play ? That sure was a nice plant out of that little pot.

Bought 2 more tipsy turvies for tomatoes. Just got back from the garden center with two crazy tomato plants...one bears black fruit, one yellow...LOLZ! I have one going right now.

Yeah, it says it's 4.5 gallons, so who knows! I got the flyer for the contest too, haha, guess that's why they were at the 99 cent store, cause they weren't moving. I'd say 3 zips is totally do-able...Not for me, maybe, but for anyone with decent sun throughout the day. I might end up wrapping mine with white poly during the middle of summer when it's pushing the mid 90s out for days at a time.
ha ha ! I seen the contest too .Was thinking the same thing . Send in a picture of a nice Mj plant. Hell,could be a new marketing scheme to get them out of the .99 stores and back out in the market. your nearest hydro store lol. Heck, to just make the turn out of the bucket and fill in around the bucket before any height would make three oz's ? Im thinking if if your plant is big enough like the one pic the bucket is covered in shade by the plant ?

yes that is plastic food wrap... but it's the only way I could get her big ass thorough that tiny ass hole, she sure wasn't going roots first! There was one bend but no breakage so I vote it a success!

Holy shit...lol...potential for a monster. Keeping it outside? Are you providing it with supplemental light to extend the photoperiod to prevent it from going into flower?
