Topping with uneven nodes

Hi sorry if this has been asked a thousand times but new my plant has uneven nodes (not symmetrical) and im not sure where the best place to top is?

Is topping the best thing to do in this scenario or is LST better?

We need more info to help.
Please give specifics of your grow plus pictures if possible.
It sounds like your plant may be sexually mature and thus ready to bud (judging from your uneven node description).

Still, more info will get you better answers.

Curious also lol I just topped a clone and crushed/bent the stem on another clone of the same strain and age with alternating nodes. I'm interested to see which one yields better

Or if was a gifted clone par for course...

Top & lst till she is the shape you want..

Just LST the clone. Grow it for about 8-10 nodes, then pin it down so all the nodes grow up at the same time from the same height.

Make your topping cut as high on the main stem as you can without cutting into the top node. Topping will usually give you 2 main colas instead of one. FIMimg is making the same cut except you want to go 1/8 to 1/4 inch higher so you you just barely cut into the top node. FIMing will result, usually in 2-5 main colas. Unless you are a pro FIMimg is a crapshoot as to how many colas result. Both methods will make the plant slightly shorter but more bushy, usually a good thing, eh?
