Topping question

i started late on growin my plants are about 1inch tall, wondering when is the latest i can top them, and when is the earliest i can top (outdoors grow)

im a new to growin, so please be patient and help me out and some advice would be good.
ill post some pics of my plants and will update every week if anyone wants

id let it get at least 5 or 6 nods first !!!
i top all my plants when i grow

how long do you think it will take to grow 6 nodes? about a month? i read that 12/12 cycle will start on aug. 18th not sure if that is right

2-3 weeks to a month max depending on light

really you could top at the 4th node but your plant will be that much weaker and have to cope with recovery as a baby and its not nice lol

Plus you dont want your branches hanging on the floor.

But as for your question, i suppose u could top after the 2nd node in reality.

I'm currently in my second outdoor grow, and to my knowledge you can top as early as your plant can handle it.so if it seems resilient enough after a few nodes then go for it. You can top until the first week of flowering and then no more.but so far I've only topped a maximum of 2 times on a single plant, only for the reason that all of the branches will compete for light and nutrients, rather than a single cola. So more branches at a certain point=smaller buds, in more locations.just my two cents.

you should LST ..... with topping you stunt and stress your plants which in turn gives you slower growth and the higher possibility of growing MALES ! I Always LST my plants ...and they never get higher than 2 feet at the end of flowering and have well over 15 colas ! I'm not trying to tell you what to do so plz dont take it that way...I toppped a few plants when i started my 1st grow .... and I yield 2x + with LST than i ever could with topping i,and in a shorter growth period.Heres a pic from way back when......

whats LST? you talking about tieing it down somehow??

i think im going to do taht only because if i top my plants i would want to start in april so i could keep topping til flowering time, and for the LST, how does it work, i only have about a month til flowering i think, i just want the best for my plants

thanks, im gonna experiment with all of them for this year, and see which will produce the most buds for me!

im gonna try Lst, topping, fim, and super cropping on one plant. you think it will be a massive grow or just a regular one?
