Topping plants

If I want a plant to be bushy, do I cut the top off of it when it is growing in veg? If yes, when would I do this--and how often?

Thanks!

Yeah you can either top or femm. I like to do it around week three, then wait another three or four weeks and do it again to the new growth. Every time you top, you'll get two colas, but when you femm, you can actually get four colas. I don't buy into the hype that you get bigger yields, I think that's determined genetically and your just distributing the energy around, but if your looking for bushy plants that will do it.

Also some strains are naturally more bushy then others. I had a lemon strain (I forget if it was lemon skunk or something else) from Nirvana that I didn't do anything to and it became a huge bush just on it's own.
