Topping plants

hey yall, just wondering if anyone could either give me some pointers on how to go about topping a plant, or direct me in the proper direction of a good tutorial on how to do this? ive got some plants that i want to increase the yield of, i plan on keeping them in veg until they show sex, which gives me ample time to keep em growin.
any help would be greatly appreciated for a new(ish) grower.thanks in advance

cut the 2 new leaves off when they just start sprouting. even pinch the tops it'll work

I cut the tops off with a pair of finger nail clippers when it is just coming up from between the newest set of leaves. It gets nice and close and cuts easy. A couple of days later it starts to split into 2 or more.
