Topping or fiming?

I don't like to top much because it can shock the plant and slow growth for a bit. My best results have been to top once early on and then just LST a few times

I top once and then scrog. Ends up giving me dozens of tops per plant.

Topping to create more tops doesn't make sense to me. The only reason I top at all is simply to kill off the main stalk and let lower branches catch up.

Scrog that shit if you want lots of tops. :bigjoint:

SCROG unnecessary if you know how to top and supercrop. But you have to practice to actually end up knowing how.

I have done both and I am proficient with each method. Scrog is jus easier and holds the colas up better. But different strokes for different folks.

Last grow. 4'x8' grow area with 8 plants. Over 5lbs of tops and mids, dried and trimed. Smalls never got trimmed or weighed.

I’ve done both as well. SCROG is great if it’s one strain. From multiple experiences. Otherwise it’s a pain starting with the first early strain and having to leave it in place for all the others. Just my preference to top 3 times starting very early and supercropping as soon as stems get long enough. With 8 main branches laid out like spokes on a wheel I can keep just about any strain level. Until stretch.
