Topping multiple branches

Hi guys. I was just wondering if many people top all of their branches and not just their main colas? Have you noticed if it has made a difference to your end yield? Cheers peeps

once the plant is bigger a lot of people top a majority of the branches. if you're looking to bush a plant out i would definitely look into supercropping as well, very effective method. people say that topping doesn't increase yield it just spreads the yield of the massive main colas to the now smaller branches that you've created, but i mean if you ask 10 different people they'll probably give you 10 different answers. (personally i say topping increases yield)

Thanks for the reply. So with that in mind, would you suggest topping all of the main branches and then lollipopping the plant when it has finished it's stretch in flower?

This is what I plan to do but would be interested in hearing opinions.

Thanks again

Should check out mainlining bra, sounds right up your alley. Just topping to achieve uniform structure to distribute nutes evenly throughout the plant. I liked it when I did it but is rather hard to do from clone with the strain I am running right now. I am topping these 2 plants I have going right now, have not decided whether I am going to take a shit ton of clones and veg til summer to put outside or just veg til mid march and flower her out. But I have been non stop topping them to achieve a bush and it took no time and they look awesome. If you want a pic I can throw one up tomorrow when I am not busy.

A picture would be great. No rush. Thank you. So there is no harm in keep topping her over and over until it's time to flower? My flower room is busy until March so I have plenty of time to get her huge. Thanks again.

If I try a new variety that turns out to be tall and scrawny I will FIM the top 2 or 3 nodes. This makes the plant grow 2 bud sites where there was one. Helps make them fuller, shorter and bushier. Highly recommended for those who have limited space in their flowering room, heightwise. BigSteve.

Thanks for posting. In your opinion , if space was not an issue, would you perform the above training or simply leave the plant to its own devices ?

Thanks again

All right so got in there and snapped some pics for ya.
Took a shot of the under carriage for ya, you'll have to excuse the weird lighting cus I run LED in my closet that I am vegging these in and my phone's camera does not have a white balance adjust. But trust me they are green :weed:. They are both clones of some space bomb that I grew out a 5 pack of and got 2 girls that were both dank but totally different in structure in flowering (one gets tall, one stays short). Anyways hope this helps with the decision.
