Topping f up

I just topped my plants for the first time, EVER. when I pinched the last plant i took off one of the side leaves off! Is this a big deal?

i take off the entire top 2-3 nodes of a plant sometimes when it gets stretchy, bitches love to be punished in veg

Maybe I should clarify. I pinched the top node and the whole leaf(all three or five) on one side. Seems as if i would get only one bud shoot now.
