usually people top plants at the main cola so as to let the bottom branches catch up for a bushy even canopy, thats my reason for it anyhow.

People say sure go ahead with no clue as to if you're in flowering or not already?

Can you post a picture? All you need is a cell phone camera...

We can't tell you what to do without knowing more about the situation and some idea of the size and what the plant looks like, what stage of growth it's in, and what light(s) you use. A picture is worth a thousand words. What you do to a plant to get the best yield is completely different in each situation.

depends on strain too, ive heard some strains such as some blueberrys don't do well when topped.. generally i top first when there are at least 4 sets of nodes generally after one topping i get four tops in the main canopy, however this can be done again and again until you have a real bush going on! make sure you give the plant enough time to sort itself out before you put it into flower as it will be stressed (just had its head cut off!) generally you should look into topping if you have limited vertical space, also if your lighting is not that intense topping can make sure more bud sites get more light as there is an even top canopy not just a single cola sticking up..

super cropping. dont break it just bend slowly till it feels like it snaps. and leave it alone. even if it hangs low. itll heal it self. all the buds will point upwards. its sweet
look at the branches. you cant even tell they were bent.
