if i top every branch on my plants will they pretty much double in size? ive topped them once they are about 2 feet tall, will they die? what will happen?

Why would they double in size from topping? Topping is useful for redirecting hormones so that branches lower down grow out more. This will essentially give you twice as many main branches, but will not result in a plant twice as large.

It's your baby, do what you want... Should double your tops, yes. Why wouldn't it? When you just top the main, you get two mains... Never topped every cola before, but it stands to reason that's exactly what would happen. Do it man, can't hurt, unless it gets too stressed and decides to hermie or something, god forbid.

You know you could bend the branches to increase bud sites too... Every node becomes its own cola. ;-) Just a thought.

Okay, I was just a bit confused by your wording, sorry bout that. And yeah you can top basically any branch, long as there is a node left further down the branch it will split into two branches where you'd otherwise have one. This is pretty much what a mother plant would be used for, keep the cuttings and make clones out of them! Be careful of cutting too many times though, don't want it to be too busy when you go to flower. Adding in a bit of LST can help to keep the branches spread out as well as giving you a more even canopy too.

well you do know, every time you top, your splitting one cola down into two smaller ones..if you clip all your colas, they'll double..but will be even smaller still. Now weather this ends up being a bad thing or you end up with alot of decent nugs, i can't tell you. But you should take some pics and show us what you get when they flower

If ya cut em all at once you will probably kill the plant from the stress, but you probably weren't going to do that to it?

I think it just kind of changes the size of the buds bud not necesarily the yeild!!
But I have yet to harvest a bud one so don't take my advice
I did top all of mine except for one. I have four bodacious colas on a 10 inch plant.
Put all four together and that would have had to be one massive single cola.
Mighta happenned................just sayin

yes you absolutely can top the branches of a topped plant! this will result in a massive bushy plant so be wary if space or security is an issue - they will become gigantic, especially certain sativas and sativa hybrids outside.
every time you top a plant however, it slows growth and delays flowering until the plant can redistribute flowering hormones and recover from the shock. i would suggest doing this at the beginning of the growing season, so plants will have ample time to grow to their full potential.
many people will tell you not to do things. this is very limiting. don't listen to them. practice and develop and hone your own grow - but most of all, keep it real:)

Super crop then top this makes each branch think its the main and then its topped therefore u get more mains/coals otherwise ur just splitting branches not branches that think there main stems

You could cut all the leafs off and it would still live. You will be fine "topping" every "top", even if all at once. Like they said it will bush out. No problems.

I usually top twice. I do a top to produce 4 main colas with one cut. Then sometimes I even follow up with another topping of each of those 4 main colas. I have limited grows space vertically, so I try to keep mine as flat and wide as possible.

And I do all my topping while the plant is in Veg, and I do the 2nd round of topping all @ once. I haven't noticed any type of serious shock to the plant.

Here is a shot of my latest topping of one of my girls before I moved it into flower. You can count and you see 8 colas! 4 from first cut, then top each of those and get 8.

Holy Shite!!!! That thing is a fucking beast! It's so green too. If that plant was in the hands of a new grower, you know they would be cutting away all the leaves for some reason..... Haha.

Good points, but it has been proven topping too many times will decrease the bud size. I rather get 4 nice huge colas than 40 small ones and maybe a couple decent ones. Topping and topping again and again is a good method to create the perfect mother plant.

Just my opinion.

Peace out
