topping a plant?

how many times should i top my plants. whats the point of topping a plant? i was told the more i topped it the bushier it would be? ive topped it several times already is this bad?

It depends how young she,you don't want to top to early and you don't wanna top them all at once do it in stages to try to level it out,it all depends on wats best for your method of growing for how many times to top

well i have 2 plants that ive had since dec. 5th and 1 of them if very small got stunned by fungus gnats the other one i took about 7 clones from so i might have stressed it out. and i topped her over 16 times. shes bushy as hell and will not stop growing i gave her a a full dose of my trio going into her aggressive vegetative growth

i top my plants at the 4th node ,when it grows of of that ,topping i top 3 more times as it grows and that is it,while doing the topping im also lst training at same time .when iv'e finished and don't have the height i defoliate ,i clip it every were a bud site is ,the leaf under it and i get aggressive with it and in about 3 days you cant even tell you did it other than it is going to take off on you .i don't just have bushes ,i have hedges about 3 ft around and 2/12 ft tall .by the time the flower strecth is over it is about 3/12 to 4ft tall ,and 3ft around.when they get to 2/12 ft and lst and defoliate add in super cropping and you could plant them in your front yard and pepole would think it is a privacy fence lol
