topping a flower?

hey guys, i burned a top of my plant using a cfl bulb the other week. it must have been touching. i was very upset. i didnt know if it would heal itself.

i'm familiar with the technique known as topping which causes a split in the stem, basically.

anywho, the reason i say is because the burned flower of my lady seems to have topped? i noticed all the other "tops" have one area of new growth, as natural, but the burned on has 3 areas of new growth at the very top of the "top".

i tried a scrog grow...and didnt tame her under long enough after flowering so the branches are about a foot from the screen with normally looking buds, as opposed to the scrog.. which is a bunch of smaller ones. kept her small, but with nice even tops. i thought that was my best mistake.

i think burning her was a great mistake cuz it would appear that she is fattening out faster than the other ones.

yep ive heard of burning the top bud to create a huge healing swell that forms in the bud. Wish someone had instructions on how to do this controlled.

I did bud topping experiments in my Goin Loco grow def makes em fatter, keep an eye on it cause my topped ones were frostier as well

cut right thru the middle of the white hairs as soon as they are 1/2 to 1 inch tall kinda like fimming

check my Goin Loco journal for pics, I did it to 2 buds

got a pic of the after bud?

sorry guys, i would show you a pic, but i dont have a good enough camera to properly detail it happening.

i dont think i could do it again if i wanted to, and i dont trust myself to do it again. especailly not now. maybe during a younger flowering phase.

if any1 comes up with some good instructions, please post. if not, i'll experiment next time and possibly post a write up.

one of my colas grew in to the cfl over night and burnt the top bud growth, now the cola that got burnt is the fattest of em all, it healed itself really well and threw crystals all over it, it definitely helped me in a strange way, but theres no way im doing that again :p
