Topped/FIM above 2nd node "weird" new growth/split stalk

Soooo... This was intended to be a topping (I did it when the third set of leaves were forming think it ended up more a FIM) above the second node for 4 colas (UB "method"). The new growth sites on the second and first node are coming along fine but rather than healing and leaving a bit of a stem nub it has split into two stalks with this. What's going on here?

Growth hormones are telling the plant to grow in every place possible to replace what was gone, however you have topped very early and i would have suggested waiting a few more nodes, but you never know you could end up with some monster cola's

Most likely, i could be wrong but i would have thought the top 2 will end up as your larger cola's then the lower branches will be slightly smaller, but im not 100% , either way it will be interesting to see how she goes.

I've got various different aged seedlings once I'm up potted and they're all chugging in veg I'll start a grow journal. 1000w grow for first time around see how it goes. Hopefully that little one is a girl I'd like to see what happens.

No problem, best of luck, will keep a eye out for your beast ;)
You guys are on track. It was a fim too fuck up slaughter lol. I've done it before. You get the 2 mains and then as stated before possibly 1 2 3 smaller tops under the new 2. They look weak and crappy for a while but once they get a stem the usually attempt a run for the top on flower. Never had it be a bad thing.

My 2 cents.

Nameste.

Tbh honest it's fuck ups that create monsters. Everyone started from somewhere. And also fucked up. But went on to grow things that they now write about.. if we didn't mess up and work it out we would never know .. I'm trying things with my plants that pop in my head .. it's a learning curve . Everyone has there own way .. if u listen to 10 people u get mixed advice. They only tell you what works for theme. .. nobody knows what your grow wants but u .. nobody knows how ur grow is but u ... we all ask questions and we all try different things .. If a bit helps then great. But take notice of what your plant tells you . That's the best advice of all

Everyone has fucked up .. and done what instinct told them .. another issue I have .. nutrients. . When u see these lady's growing in the wild in some far forbidden place . Do they have nutes ? No these feed of mother nature and these are some of the best strains in the world. Keep soil good and in my opinion no need for mass nutes. . Light.. air. Temp. . And water 4 main elements. .is what u need .. if your soil is good and u have plenty of light with good air exchange u should be good ... don't over think everything as that's when u mess up ..
