Top Colas not sticky at harvest time?

So I'm just about at the end of week 7 of the flowering period for my plants. I have 2 indica cheese plants and 1 sativa cross (trainwreck) and now that the cheese are almost done the buds are getting coated in resin and turning purple. going to give them 1 last feed and then start the flushing process for a week in coco coir. but I have noticed that my buds are now loosing stickyness and not as sticky as they used to be. on the top colas, the top of the branch seems very dense and almost crispy like texture to the bud but half way down the branch some of the buds are still super sticky. Is this normal?

On the trainwreck plant I have the same problem too. the very top big colas are light and airy with not much stickyness or smell to them. half way down the branch though the buds get slightly denser and look more complete with more resin coated over them, brown hairs and sticky with a more pronounced smell. can anybody reassure me that this is normal? As i'm so close to harvest don't want anything to happen to my lovely colas now lol. Thanks :)

P.S. Any serious guestimations on yield would be appreciated :P Thanks again :)

Some genetics are advertised specifically for their minor smells; some growers like that their buds don't smell if they are trying to be discreet.

So its probably just genetics

The smell is there. and pretty pungent on the cheese plant. but the stickiness is gone is all. the buds at the top of the canopy don't seem as dense and sticky as those further down the plant....

Light size and distance?..tops look a little dry and crispy..
Got 1 single 600w hps at the very top of the tent as high as it can go which is almost 6ft. the sativa trainwreck is already about 4 1/2 - 5ft tall. its just about right distance to prevent burning. burnt a few leaves earlier in the cycle. the indicas are very comfortable though. they are a bit dried up on top though but its not from being too close to the light. the indicas are a fair distance away. like 2 1/2 ft or something. I don't think its burn. basically when i squeeze the top colas they are dense and heavy on the cheese plants and smell close up. but i don't get any residue sticking to my fingers like the buds further down the stem. is this normal?

I'm not sure on the indicas, they look decent to me. The trainwreck looks almost like it started to reveg, the twisting leaves mean something..not really sure what. Also looks like it might need more than another week before it's done. There are so many variable..I don't know where to start. Any light leaks or cycle interruption? Are the lights cooled or open? What light cycle? What were the room temps? What kind of ventilation?

lights are open. no cool tube but just about reaches ideal temperature. ocelating fan and extractor fan in a 1.2 x 1.2 tent. the trainwreck has another 2 weeks before it finishes anyway. they have a 9 week cycle. just now the branches are starting to gain weight and broaden out the plant. the lower buds beneath the top colas seem to be finishing up nicely. they are gaining crystals, different colours to the buds and brown hairs. really sticky. they all seem to be doing fairly well. just the top colas that are still under developed with still very white appearance and no brown hairs. the top colas do not look as mature as the 1s beneath them on the trainwreck anyway but I am hoping that within the next 2 weeks they will still gain some weight and mature up fast to match the rest of the plant. the indicas get chopped next week anyways, but the lower bud sites are not done on those and need more light because of the bushy nature of the plant and I wasn't able to SCROG. So I'm going to clip about 3/4 of the indicas next week and leave the bottom half in with the trainwreck for the final week of growth. hoping they all finish nicely by then but just don't want anything happening to my buds in a negative way at this stage of the cycle obviously lol :P and 12/12 light cycle of course
