Either i'm just a total music nerd or an asshole but, You must have got this song off Napster or the equivalent.... The Dope Smoking Song which I only know to be available on Hempilation 2 (1 is also a great listen) is actually by Hank Flamingo and yea it would seem to be the version you're thinking of.... "so if you got em smoke em save some for the boys in the band"

I think Peter Tosh's Legalize it is the only one that anyone can argue isn't a top 5, that song works on so many levels in so many countries.
