So I have grown serious seeds bubble gum for two runs now and I love it (smell taste and THC punch) but rather than the 8 weeks of flowering I was looking for its more like 10. When I ordered my seeds I received a couple free ones including a Top 44xbubblegum feminized. Has anyone grown this before any feed back would be awesome. *Cheers* and thanks

I have a classic bubblegum that has been being cloned since the early 90s. It has to be the strain that gave it its name!!! Said it before...it smells so much like bubblegum it should come with a Bazooka Joe cartoon.
That is what my buddy described to me he was growing BG back in 2003 that is what made us go for it this go round. I have serious seeds bubblegum and I can say you hit it dead on the nose "Bazooka Joe". I have heard of some amazing clone only strains pretty cool it's lasted this long. *Cheers*

I had high hopes for the Serious Seeds Bubblegum, but popped 10 and didn't get on keeper from the entire bunch. Since then I have acquired a clone of Bubblegum X Chemdawg and it is part of my stable of keepers and I can't imagine ever getting rid of it. I think it may be best to search long and hard for a clone of Bubblegum from the old days.

i have a few bubble gums, serious seeds, th seeds, nirvanas bubblelicious, female seeds bubble gummer, whit lable seeds double gum, dr.undergrounds melon gum (lavenderxbubblegum), and spanish seeds top 44x bubble gum..ive ran all but the spanish seeds.. serious's gum was good but a bit to sativa dominant taking close to 10 weeks and crystalized but not like th seeds gum.. nirvanas gum i planted all 10 and kept the best female and male then back crossed them till i had a stable plant, i ended up with a nice gum taste but smell wile great wile growing, after it was dry and cured it lost that real gum scent, buds are medium sized hairy but a bit to leafy, hard to trim..female seeds gum is a stable hybrid and i planted 3 all very similar but not identicle the best one had the smell and taste, structure was good but lacking the crystal production.white lable double gum,, was more like blue berry than bubble gum, blue berrys smell, structure, etc,,,should be called blue berry gum.. dr.undergrounds melon gum, smells like chronic with purple leaves at the end very short little to no stretch, small buds,, and needed a month of veg just to get a 3ft finished plant. th seeds bg was my favorite, indica dom short stocky structure, smell, taste, crystal production like white widow, its covered with sparkling crystals,it stretches from a 12inch plant to a 2n a half foot-3ft plant in flower, great in my sog and branches out if i give it room but doesnt if i pack them together..i veg clones for 2 weeks then flower for 50 days under the ceramic 315's and average over an oz per plant..
now seeing as serious seeds,th seeds, and female seeds gums are all stable hybrids and i was lucky enough to get 1 killer male out of the serious seeds batch, i pollenated a bud on each strain of gum and got a real killer cross with the serious seeds dad and a th seeds mom,the F1 seeds produced where more crystalized than serious ,more strtch and height than th seeds gum and finishes in 52 days..im still back crossing it to get a stable line of seeds..ive also made S1's off the best of each strain..
i would say if you really want a bubble gum that has all the traits your after, buy 10 seeds of serious,th,and female seeds bubble gums, plant them all then start a breeding program till you get all the qualities your after in the F1cross, then back cross the f1's till you have a stable line with all the traits you desire...grow well and be well to all

Appreciate your documenting this. I would love to pass my clone-based by you. Post cure, yes the bubblegum smell is replaced, but with a very pleasant twang. Nice high also.

Just curious.....how did you know that particular male was "the one" ?? What traits did you notice? was it veg or flower when you noticed them?(I know that may be a dumb question..bear with me)

WELL, I HAD 3 DIFFERENT MALES FROM SERious seeds gum. out of the 3 i just watched them grow,, i went by structure, smell, and watched flower clusters.. finding a good male is tougher then a good female..i go alot by the node distance, smell, how it stretches once it goes to 12/12, then watch flower clusters, some plants have smaller clusters,,just like some buds are smaller than others on females... i wouldnt say it was veg or flower but the end result of the plant that stuck out over others.. also once switched to 12/12 it started producing flower clusters 4-7 days sooner then the other males..hope that answers the question.. breeding is a big chore,,i still can not lock down sertain traits, just overall structure n smell and it comes easyer when u have a male that has good genes,, that is similar to the female in structure n smell.
