its my first grow so ill take any advice i can get

You will find the plant you just topped will yeild much more. They love to be cut up. I dont flower mine until i have at least 8 main tops.

8 main tops? I can have over 30 main tops on 1 plant cuz its growing new branches and I haven't topped her yet

I know most people's opinions on trimming things that aren't dead... but should I remove that gigantic fan leaf that is now hanging over the top of the new top of the plant?

it's still staring at me... shading the plant from the expensive light... argh...
