Too small for its age ?

I apologise from the begining for my bad english.

I have a 5 to 6 days plant and I am a bit worried because of its development. It seems too small (comparing to the pictures I saw here) for its age. Given the fact that this is my first plant and I have no advanced knowledge in this thread, I ask for your oppinion and advices. I have to say that my little plant has no conditions (meaning no blue/red cfls, no ventilation system, no anything specific). It lives inside a normal room with sunlight at daytime and 40 w normal bulb (white, I think) at night time. I know these are far from proper conditions, but I knew nothing about this before visiting this forum. My question is: is my plant in danger ? Is it going to die or something ? Thanks in advance for your help.

Ok, well i can see the plant is stretching - you can tell from the long skinny ass stem it has. A 40w bulb isn't doing shit probably making it stretch more so throw that out and give it some sleep. It looks like a normal reggie bag seed, nothing amazing and its on the right track for that. The pics you see of 10 days and the plant is already a foot tall and bushy, that is dank seeds under HIGH power lights and in special soils, if your looking for that you better uprgrade. A plant cant grow to its full potential in a window it may get a quarter of the sunlight's power it should be getting if that much. I'd say put it ouside or buy yourself a better light. Peace.

Thank you very much for advices. I will buy a cfl as you said. I told you I am a total newby at this kind of thing. I knew the given conditions were very poor, all I was wandering was if it is too late to save the little one after so many days. Regarding these cfls, could you give me some extra info about them ? I saw that somewhere, someone recomended 30-40 w cfl 6500 K and somewhere about 3000 lm / sqft. I have to say that Romania is a poor country in this thing . The very fact that my soil has no perlite or other stuff in it (meaning normal flower soil - ph somewhere about 6-7) may damage the little buddy ?

Thanks again for your proper answers.

Back for another question just to make sure. I went to the local store this day and asked for a cfl. I found out that the only cfls available are clf bulbs (20 - 100 W | 2700, 3500, 4200, 5000, 6500 K). Are these ones ok ? I mean, may I buy a cfl bulb, or do I need some sort of tube or something (some kind of neon-shaped) ? On the other hand, what kind of K do I need ? (I understood I need two kind of K, blue-lighted and red-lighted).

I apoligise again for my stupid questions, but I just don't know how to do it yet. Thanks in advance.

your little plant looks fine man-if you dont want to buy any lights and decide to grow it outside then you can grow them at your windowsill .when they have formed a solid root mass and are big enough then you can plant them outside.anyway, thats the way i handle my buisness.
keep up the good work man...

yea that will get u through the next week or so look through the indoor and grow design for ideas for indoor grow space a closet works well but ur going to need alot more light fairly soon hps is best but cfl can be done well

As a matter of fact I don't have a fan yet. Though, this is somehow replaced by the open window and the air that blows (somehow gently) from it. I didn't know about this need, so thanks a lot. I'll buy a fan. Regarding the light system, I'm affraid that cfls are the only option that fits my grow space.

Well ... just as you said, the upper leafs grew some more and now my plant seems to be curving under its own weight ... I put a stick to support its weight, but still am afraid of collapsing. I'll be able to get a fan no sooner than tomorrow, so I'm just hoping she will survey.

Do you think the stick will support my plant until tomorrow ?

Thanks again for all your help.

(I know the picture below is somehow blurry, but I'm focusing on the leafs dimension, not on their aspect)

if i were u i would replant in a bigger container with better soil. if u can find worm catings add 1/3, 1/3 pearlite or sum sand, 1/3 potting soil.

u can also put live worms in ur container and they will airate and fertalizt ur plant

PEACE

ps when u trans plant fill the soil up to the first growth and u wont have to worry about that skinny stem. sprinkle sum epsom salts when trans planting to prevent shock.

the best lights in my opinion for vegitative growth are metal hailite bulbs(Bright White Street Lights!!) i have 4 running in my room and my plants grew drasticlly over 3 weeks and the best part is every hardware store has the bulbs and fixtures

Here I am again for another question. I know this will sound stupid, but I never did it before, so I just don't know how to do it. When I replant, I have to clean the roots of the old soil on them, or just take the soil part on the roots and integrate it in the new soil mixture ? Beside that, just how big should my container be ? And just how much soil should I add ? (Using 1/3 perlite, 1/3 potting soil and 1/3 worm catings, or 1/2 perlite and 1/2 potting soil, I got it, but just how much mix soil should there be in the end ?).

Thanks again.

dig a hole at least as big as your root root ball in a 3 gl pot put the plant gently in and then put the soil you dug out on top of it.
