Too little heat in grow closet. Suggestions?

Hi. I need to move my grow cabinet to a grow closet on the opposite side of my house. Currently I cannot get the temperature above 63. I have yet to install the lights which are 4-2 ft t-5's. Could they possibley produce another 5 plus degrees in temperature? I don't have much of an option. Plant is 3 weeks into flower and needs to be moved ASAP. Any opinions would be a great help. Thanks.

It will be sort of air tight. I am between a rock and a mother in law. Just scared my girl will not be all it can. Thanks so much.

Yeah, just toss in a few CFLs in wherever you can and you'll have it up to 70 in no time.

42W put out a decent amount of heat.

I think you are a bit too worried my friend.

You said you haven't installed your lights yet. My rooms definitely get to 63 at "night", it's no big deal. With florescent and no exhaust my canopy will hit around 82, with exhaust around 76.

When people mention all the issues with heat and other stuff compared to all the different kinds of bulbs - I don't buy into it. The surface area of my florescents send out heat in all directions, so no, there is not one area of my veg lights that is as intense as putting my hand under my HID (HPS) bulb. However to make up for the fact that HID's have the small surface area, now a days most, even cheaper hoods, are vented.

I think you will be fine. If your room is that cold with the lights on then obviously hit us back up.

Edit: seen your dimensions. This will not work for you.

Yea,depending on the size of your closets you could get a small fan heater( they are small) from wallyworld for like 20.00 and turn it on low. Some even have a thermastat and three settings. I use one for the garage closet but I'm fortuante enough to be able to put it out side the cab and let it be sucked in through the lower intake and not get to warm.

Can you give me an idea why those dimensions wouldn't work? I have done one grow in a cabinet that is 18 deep 30 wide and 32 high. I am growing only for personal consumption. Is it that the closet be too large to get the right amount of heat? Above my flower area was going to be a clone/seedling area. I really need this to workout. Or I am stuck waiting for spring and a fall harvest.

Sorry for the confusion. The space is to small for a small fan heater to be contained inside. It will get to warm to fast.

I think a small fan heater even with a thermostat in such a small area , may , cook your ladies...... try the Cfl's added , it has worked for others , remember cold vegging plants will stunt growth quickly,
good luck with this.....
