too late for lst?

Since this is my first grow and its going real good I decided to flower at 5 weeks in so I can get through the first one and move on to bigger and better with more plants.. I want to maximize my yield and I am on day 2 of flowering.. Can I still do anything like topping or LST to make my yields higher?

Also can anyone tell if these are showing sex yet + how they look.. Pictures taken today

cant tel the sex yet, and i wood top them in a week or so? as thay aront to old are thay? nice looking plants good luck!!

When you top, you want to have a week atleast of recooperating for the plant. LST should've been done early in veg, once 3-4 nodes were established.

You could "LST" the plant still, but it'll just be tying down branches, not growing the whole plant horizontally.

P.S.- Too early to sex m8, another week and you'll know fer sure.

so i shouldnt top at this point? lst will be fine? will it up my yield or just be pointless at this point.. I did my research on LST and topping too late it seems

I LST'd my plant at about 2-3 weeks into flowering. Because the stem was so thick, I could only bend it to about 30 degrees, maybe a little more. but now I have 5 branches that are about the same hieght as the main cola, and the buds are forming even larger then the main one. I would tie your plant over, but be carefull not to break the stem.

They look great, Now watch. within a few hours the branches will turn up, and should grow to be almost like cola's themselves.

Thanks I hope im doing it right.. if all is well ill do it on the other one too.. i just used wire hangers.. this is my first real grow with real equiptment and im so fucking paranoid im gonna fuck it up

Hey Ralphie. You should check your local hardware store for twisty-ties by the foot. I can get 20 meters for a dollar at my local store. Plants seem to vtake to them easier, and they sure are a helluva lot easier to use.

lol, when I first tried LST, I used dental floss I tell ya I'm happy as shit now that I've found my twisty-ties.
