I admittedly don't know much about him other than he's a pretty polarizing and controversial artist. I heard something by him awhile back and didn't care for it or him. But he recently dropped an album with Madchild, who I've been a fan of, and it showed up in my recommended. Apparently his girlfriend Nova Rockafeller collabs with him a lot and directs and edits all his videos. She can rap and sing and appears to be pretty damn multi-talented. Plus she pretty sexy. I've been checking out her catalog. Some of the tunes are catchy and all deal with real issues @tyler.durden you're a music aficionado, your thoughts?

He apparently said he was going to show mainstream artists how to make mainstream music and still have a message and released this…. It is stuck in my head…

Another one from awhile back…

I watched all three videos. It's def better than the mumble rap/trap shit out there, but it just seems like an expression of millennial angst to find meaning, and a struggle against excessive drug use. Eminem kind of perfected that over the last few decades. Imo, It is nothing compared to artists like Kendrick, J Cole, or even Joyner, all who have much deeper and realer shit to say (racism, freedom, war, religion, philosophy, the music industry, etc..) And the auto tune... holy fuck is that shit awful. They are probably on that tip to attract this new generation, but it feels like selling out to me, appealing to the lowest common denominator. The other artists I mentioned steer clear of that and still manage to get the recognition they deserve. Thanks for turning me on to these guys, but judging from this brief introduction, it's just not for me...

Thanks. I respect your musical opinions. And your other opinions too lol. Yeah all the tattoos just give me a "hey look at me, look at me" vibe. The whole bad news video is supposed to be a big troll on the industry. With the auto tune, outfits and payphone etc. He seemed pretty polarizing so I figured it'd be a talking point here at the very least. I still want to slide it in his girlfriend.
