Toke's Tent Test

Starting this almost all the way through this grow. This has just been a test for this tent. Being the first tent I have owned and several years since my last grow. I figured a test was in order to get the environment set.

I sprouted a Durban Poison seed that came from some colorado dispensary flower, I had purchased some time ago.
I started in a peat disc and moved up to a 5 gallon grow bag full of happy frog soil. I have never used these bags, but it dosnt seem to make things much different. I started off with just some recharge and grow big from Fox Farms.

She is now on week 15 and week 6 of flowering. Im hoping she will be ready in the next few weeks to harvest. I will go by trichome development once my jewelers glass arrives next week.

Once this test is complete i will be attempting to start a perpetual grow with autos. Starting off with two of each: Pineapple Express Auto (Crop King), Frosted Skywalker (Mosca Seeds), Triple Diesel (I ordered through rocket seeds, though to my disappointment they dont tell you which of there breeders it comes from.)

Once those have started to flower I will start another 6 of various genetics.

Please feel free to comment, leave some advicen or just say hi.

Another week gone bye. A little bit chunkier and a little more smell. I am starting to see amber on the sugar leaves. I know that dosnt mean she is done, but must be getting closer. Jewlers glass comes in Wednesday. She seems to have a decent calyx to leaf ratio. Tons of white stigmas turning yellow and orange. Guessing 1 to 2 weeks left. Anyone else have a thought? I know, I know trichomes are the best way to tell. For now here are some "close ups".

I’ve grown Durban from Dutch Passion a few times, outside last year and inside in hydro right now. Super aggressive plant and an early finisher for me outside. Inside I didn’t get a real nice one yet. It got too big on me last time and got too close to my leds and didn’t finish well.
Your plants look good. People will come on here and tell you that plant has a month or more left. Lots of folks on here are fans of running flower for a long time, especially a sativa. It was an early one for me but that was because it was the first to flip under longer light conditions. Not necessarily because it needed less weeks in flower. Mostly they say 9 weeks anyway for Durban I think, and you’re 6 weeks since the flip?
You’re doing autos only your next grow?

Thank you for checking my grow out. Im torn between happy there is around a month left and sad. I really want to start my autos but dont feel i should start them untill I can take advantage of the 18/6 schedule. Also I feel the buds should bulk out in the next few weeks.

Yes I have been collecting various genetics recently and even have another delivery of seeds coming in next week. I have never grown autos but was planning on starting 6 and then another 6 once those have started to flower. Any advice on growing autos?

Never grown an auto, personally I’m more of a control freak but here’s a link to the best auto I’be seen on here, 24/0….

Wow that is quite a grow there. I have been doing some research and planning. I think the biggest challenge will be temp/humidity control with 6+ plants at once. Ive only grown 3 at once up to this point.

Just finishing week 8 of flower. The buds have definitely started to swell in the last night or two. They have gotten alot more dense to the touch. Overall this girl hasnt had much smell, but she is definitely starting to give off more in the last few days. Checked with a jewlers scope. Calyx trichomes look like they are 75% milky with some clear still. So we have some time to wait. Guessing around 4 weeks left, as the rest of you have seemed to think the same. I will try to get some closeups of the trichomes soon.

Another week down another week closer to harvest. 18 weeks overall and 9 since the flip. Scope came in, looking at about 80% milky trichomes and a few leaning on either side of the spectrum. 2 to 3 weeks left, guessing closer to two. Cant wait to harvest and start curing. Next grow will be from good genetics and a more dialed in environment.

Week 11 is over and thats all shes got. Finally harvest time. Maybe could have waited for a few more trichomes to hit amber, but I think we cut her at a good time. 144 days old and smells amazing. Trimmed her up a bit and set her to dry. A week or two and I will start my autos!

After a little over a week of slow drying i have cut and trimmed the plant into buds and now into the jar for curing! Weighed in at 1.25 oz dried. Not a lot but not to bad for a bag seed test in a new environment for me to grow in. Coming up soon will be my autoflower journey. I will be starting off with 6 plants. Two of each: Frosted Skywalker, Sweet Gelato, Pineapple Express.
