Today I noticed some stems are turning purple?

I have heard this may just be genetics, but what else might be the problem?

normally genetics sometimes it can mean the plant will take more potassium then you're currently feeding it

Purple stems by themselves without any other adverse effects isn't something to be overly concerned with. The truth is it can be caused by genetics or many different nutritional deficiencies... Any npk deficiency can cause red stems... Yes even early stage N deficiency. Many other nutrients can cause it as well such as magnesium or phosphorus, however true deficiencies also come with a host of other signs and symptoms.

Bottom line it's a fruitless endeavor to try and treat red petioles by themselves without any other symptoms.

This is just an outdoor plant fed on water and the sun. Havent given it any nutes, I mean I could if the consensus thinks its necessary, but other than the color of the stems, it seems to be a pretty happy lil plant.

I mean it has a few dry, crumbly leaves, but they are old ones that have been there for a while.

feed it some potassium I noticed I used to feed my outdoor plants less and then they would be more airy and have way less taste then my indoor plants

so I started feeding them like 1000 to 2000ppm of npk and way more K after 2/4 weeks into flower and the buds get fatter nicer frostier and have more smell

Feed that girl I`d go with a 1-1-3 ratio and see how she likes that

Many other things besides potassium can cause red petioles, that's purely a crap shoot...

It can also be genetic and harmless.

Cramming some potassium down your plants throat without other clear signs of a potassium problem is just asking for unessesary problems.
