To Trim Or Not To Trim That Is The Question ???

20130803_180616.jpgOk so this BUSH of a Blue Mystic Auto is pre flowering pretty well right now and I was just wondering because a lot of the fan leaves are blocking a lot of bud sites I have been just tucking them a few times a day right now but since its about to flower I was wondering if when the flower is in full affect can I trim the leaves in half to get more light to the bud sights bellow with out harming my baby or should I just keep tucking and let it be ? any help would be great and if any body could help me out getting some kind of guess on yield ive been doing a lot of topping lst and light super cropping the plant is 15"w X 10"t

if your going to do anything just slowly tie the branches away from one another. Defoliation is just removing leaves your plant worked hard for, and will result in a longer flowering time with less bud. The goal is to get a good light density and train correctly. LSTing is the art of slowly tying down the branches in order to increase light penetration. "trimming" is what you do when you harvest, so just to be clear, never take any leaves off of the plant, but you're doing a great job of keeping it green!

the fan leaves don't necessarily block anything. They should be wiggling a little thus allowing light down to the lower canopy. Of course you will get smaller buds down there but some people mainline instead to assure a full canopy of even buds

I also know u should just let it keep going and not mess with the auto. LST is O.K. but all that other stuff is really just slowing it down

just tuck the leaves out of the way or use a bread tie to tie it down
and use lst
let the plant judge when to drop fan leaves clipping a fan leaf is 10 times worse than clipping a bud early

just top them once before or around preflower wait till 6-7 nodes then cut it down to 3 nodes and let it recover
let it stretch
then tie that bitch down and talk dirty to it ;)

ya that's what I thought I was just checking , because ive seen forum post about trimming half of a leaf , but I didn't really buy into it. I think I should get a decent harvest out of her with the light lst and topping ive done but I didn't really want to get to intense with her cuz of the auto trait ive heard don't always respond well to abuse. but can some one help me out with a yield guess

no idea on yield would have to be farther in flower to really know
just know topping will delay flowering by 2 weeks
and alot of auto's it doesnt hurt to add a month to breeder times

still have awhile to go before flower
good luck bud just keep tucking fan leaves to expose budsites when ever you think of it

Should I switch over to my 2700k cfl now or should I stick with my 6500k for another week or so and try to milk some last bit of veg out of her?
