to the people on the fence about TGA

hear alot of people talking you up and down. the tons of people i know that talk shit never grew your stuff out. i have personally grown out seeds from almost every reputable breeder on the net. i'm a bit of a strain junkie. always looking for the holy grail. over the years i have grown personal and commercial. perpetual and not. currently a commercial grower in a med state.

my first experience with TGA was on the east coast. northeast specifically. bought a pack of vortex. grew them out in veg, and they were looking great. the grow ended up coming to a early halt, and the plants were disposed of(emergency). what a sad ending. anyway. i was not discouraged. i got a new and safer house. went back to my buddy at hemp depot, and bought 3 packs of vortex, 2 packs of querkle, 2 packs of JTR, and got a free 5 pack of sno dawg. i was determined to give tga a fair shake. grew them all out under 2000 watts of MH. flowered under 4000 watts. the m/f ratios were 50/50 except on the vortex where i ended up with 23/30 females. it was absurd.

the results on that grow were great. yielded roughly 1.75 lbs per 1000. no co2. the jtr was some mutant stuff. very lemony. the querkle was the most resinous, and the vortex had a great yield and was by far the best tasting. the sno dawg was fairly unimpressive. i can see why the beans were free. one of the vortex plants was just an absolute perfect plant. some of the best weed i've smoked. still looking for that pheno. can't seem to find it ;(. smelled like rotten lemons almost like my sour diesel i have now, but tasted hashy and was some of the smoothest smoke. that grow financed my move to set up a grow out west and get medical. thanks tga!

my second run in with tga came when i got out west and was there for awhile. i was making some good money growing local clone onlys, but i was getting tired of them fairly fast. i broke down and bought 2 packs of vortex, 2 packs of space queen, a pack of the void, and a pack of pandoras box. i was also gifted a pack each of Qrazy Train and Qcleaner. the plants were grown in my 10,000 watt garden. with a bunch of other genetics. i couldn't do a journal because i had just finished the one in my sig, and was too busy to do another. anyway. same experience as last time with the M/F. the vortex i got 16 females out of 20. the rest were slightly more females.

i pulled down a modest harvest. i was very impressed with the yield on the void! huge yielder! great bud! the vortex was killer. didn't find my old pheno, but found a similar pheno that is now my keeper mom from this run. the pandoras box was similar to the jtr i had grown out before. lemony pledge funk. the qrazy train was a keeper. i am considering giving that one another run. i'm going to be honest. the space queen was a let down. very unimpressive. finnicky. i couldn't get the damn mites off the space queen long after the rest of the garden was rid of them. the qcleaner was similar to some other tga i ran. that same lemony pledge i find so much in subcools gear. it's a great smell and taste, but not a stand out for me.

i am now doing a new run with 20 lights in a new location. and vortex will have a big part in this run. a 1/4(50) of the plants will be vortex.

i feel like i needed to make this post to let everyone know my customer experience. before i buy seeds i always research the breeder that i am buying from, and love reading posts from people that grew them out personally.

the rundown from my personal experience:
overall best tga strain: vortex
best yield: the void
best taste: vortex
most frost/resin: querkle
easiest to grow: vortex
best bag appeal: querkle
best smell: vortex

all these plants were grown in 5 gallon pots of promix bx myco. supernatural nutrients. h&g drip clean. with a 2 week flush. i veg them all about a month and flip them. i usually get anywhere from 3.5-5 ounces. a plant. the querkle and space queen being on the lower end. the vortex and the void being on the 5+ end.

overall. for the price. subcools gear is worth it in my opinion. alot of the strains i feel lack a little variety. alot of the same lemon pledge smelling strains. but for the money i guarentee you that you will find a keeper mom in almost every pack. to all the haters talking about herms in subcools gear. to date i have not recieved one herm from subcool. *knock on wood* so as the old saying goes. don't knock it til you try it. go ahead and give subcool a try.

expect to see a journal in this section of the forum on the 50 vortex being grown in my warehouse.

p.s. if anyone knows where i can find the winning HT cop vortex clones. i would much appreciate. i feel like this might be my "lost" pheno.

cant wait to see this 20 lighter full of tga. since you have the space why not buy a few packs of vortex and go on a pheno hunt to get your lady back. if you are growing that much vortex sounds like its worth it

Would have to disagree with the smell on you. out of 9 plants, 6 diff strains, only one chernobyl had a lemon smell. There was another chernobyl that had a completely different smell than the lemon.

I own a couple of dispensaries here in CO. I too have ordered seeds from different banks around the world to try and create a wide array of different effects and flavors for my patients. I have grown out most everything that TGA has had available over the last year and one half. I, and my patients have been EXTREMELY happy with the strains TGA offers. As mentioned above, Vortex is constantly requested. Really everything that we have had on the shelves had been very highly reviewed. Resin content is amazing. Flavors are distinct and complex. Effects are strong, across the line.

Not all of the strains are HUGE producers. But those that claim high production (Agent Orange) absolutely deliver.

I came across this thread while looking for pictures of Pink Lady. I just flipped a set of them. I would love to see some more pics of them further along. I was a little surprised that there was some negative talk regarding TGA. I just wanted to throw some props down for a great product. Subcool, I thank you for doing a great job. If you are ever back in CO, let me know. I would be happy to give you a dose of your own medicine, so to speak.

HandC, one of my guys in taking down some SQ this week, if you are in CO, let me know. His looks silly good.
