To Scrog or not to Scrog

I am in the middle of growing out some sweet pink grapefruit clones that I recently got.
So I have my clones going, they were really fresh when I got them so there wasn't much new growth for the first week. Now they are starting to take off so I need to get prepared with what I'm going to do with them.

They are obviously in soil. I have a 250w hps light with an abundance of cfls around the perimeter.

Do you guys think I should keep vegging then flower them as is. Or should I put a screen up and scrog them?
I have some plastic netting and stuff I could use. I'm just wondering if it will really help anything or if I might as well save the hassle and just flower them after they veg a little bit longer.

Thanks for all the input!
:weed:

Ps. The last picture is what they looked like less than a week ago.

Shit man i say go for it and scrog...if you do it right you will get a much bigger yield then if you let them go normally, plus i think its a cool way to grow and it makes it fun and interesting on how you can make a plant grow that kind of way bongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmilie

Definitely ScrOG! Those plants look like they wouldn't grow more than 1,4m, you don't have as much light as with a HID and you have alot of plants. ScrOG is really for you! Good work going with it!

I decided to scrog.
How does this look?
I've read through a bunch of the scrog threads and I think I'm doing it right.
Just let them grow into it, then pull them under it and make them grow along it.

Yup exactly man, you could even move your net down another inch or so if you wanted too....o and how close is your hps light?? that looks like that could be a little closer for awhile too....

Right now I have the net 10 inches above the dirt of the plants, and the hps light is 15 inches above the netting. I wanted to keep it a little far away since they were new clones I wanted to make sure they could handle it. I will probably move it closer.
What's a good distance from the netting to hps light?

Pretty much the best distance is the closest you can get it without burning your leaves, just depends on how hot your light gets

Here is an update.
These babies are taking off.
They seem like they are growing slow to me, since I look at them every few hours. But when I compare them to the pictures from only a few days ago, there is a huge difference.

How long do you guys think til I should start to flower?

And should I be worried about my pots being too small?
They are about 8"x7.5"

I always knew that it's best to start flowering in a scrog setup when the tallest branches have grown some 4-5 inches over the screen.

Those pots seem large enough to me.

I'd say that you could start flowering in 1-3 days. Just wait for a 2-5 more shoots to grow over the screen and you can begin flowering.

lol what do you mean its crucial?
I got the netting at lowes, outside in the garden area by the chain link fence and stuff.
Cost 11 bucks for, I think, 20 feet of it.

Yeah what kind of light are you workin with?
The screen works if you have a low wattage light that cant penetrate at deep, or if you have limited head room. It's basically a simplified version of lst'ing your plants, which I use to do, but then you have to attend each and every branch, and with double digit plants, it would be a hassle.

Hey here's the update.

Check out the pictures with the leaf problems.
It's on a good portion of the plants, but only a few leaves of those plants. One of my plants that I kept in veg hasn't had it at all which is weird, but a couple of the plants haven't had the problem at all.
How can I fix it?
Thanks!
