To Prune or Not to Prune Autoflowers

Hello friends, newbie here. I am on my very first grow. I have two autoflowers in my tent. I have a gorilla glue and a Pineapple Express. The gorilla is on the left and the pineapple is on the right. They are both on week 7 on day 50. My question is whether or not to prune. The gorilla is fine. It is the Pineapple Express that has exploded in the last week and a half. She is literally producing new branches with flowers almost every other day. I have a couple pictures of these branches on the bottom. There's really no straight answer on this. Some say you should not touch them at all while others treat them just like photos. I am just wondering if my yeild is reduced because the plant is still focusing on those lower branches as well as all the leaves.

Me and my buddy, he does a lot of Autos, always take the bottoms off. He actually gets me to do his a lot of the time because he's too shy to go to town on the plants, where as I'm pretty brutal. Can honestly say in my experience that it's never done much harm. Just don't take as mujh off in one go is all I'd say. Strip them over a couple days so you can see how the plant reacts.

Plants look really good by the way, well done on getting this far,. Really good for your first go

Thank you for the complement and the help. That is exactly what I have been doing. Just like your buddy I am shy. I took a could little branches and some select leaves. That I could not tuck. That was 2 days ago. I will probably take some more leaves tomorrow

this post helped me build confident with the pruning I will be doing to my auto flowers. I ordered from Neptune seed bank/stardawg. excited to get the ball rolling once again this time I will be in charge of my own operation. :) @jessie_tpfi @Jdoobee

There are lots of arguments for both sides, but remember that an autoflower in flower is focusing on bud production and any stress can reduce yeilds (dont hold me to it) but i think idealy any pruning should be done before flower so they dont have to try and repair any damage and focus on bud production. But on the other hand some people swear by it.

A great way to keep a happy middle ground is to bend the fan leaves behind others and stems so you do not cause stress but allow light to all bud sites.
On your next grow you should try some light lst to get a few main colas and open up the plant to allow full light penatration , other than that they look goooood !
