to much light degrade thc?

I have heard that to much light can degrade thc. I have a 1000w hps about 10" off my canopy which is scrog style that's why I have it so close and was wondering if I'm harming my plants and if So I'm about to start day 35 am I to far gone to save it?

Yes, 10 inches is too close for 1000 watts, go at least 2 feet. When people discuss light breaking down thc, it is usually in regards to storing dried buds. What you are doing is more likely to fuck up the entire top of your plant by burning it up. Not sure if yours is damaged or not so I can't speak to your prospects. Post a pic if you can. If you are still vegging her, it should not be a problem to top her if needed and proceed with a good grow.

I have no sign of burning and it's in a good air cooled hood with good ventilation in the room it only gets at the hottest 79 at the top of the crop

i run a 1000 watts, and it's usually 11" or so above the plants. if you have an air cooled hood, and your temps. are in step, no prob. (imo)

I thought it was ok cause I don't have no signs of problems with the tops but I had someone tell me I degrades the thc that's why they say to keep them 18" away so I looked into it just in case..better safe than sorry

lol, most growers use lights to grow, i haven't heard of any worrying over this as an issue... but in the end, you make the choice. if i put my light 18" above my plants, they stretch.

Just look out for bleaching or the top of ur buds turning to dust lol. Too many photons when it gets too close. Even if it feels cool to ur hand at 8 inches.

2 feet? My grow rooms stays at 76 f and can put my 1000 air cooled 1' down no burning

You god damned kids with your air cooled hoods! LOL OP did not say he had a cooled hood in first post and I assumed it was like my antique 1000W which brings some heat.
