To much Heat or light?

I had 1 600watt MH in my ved rrom and lastnight I added another. Well today for some reason the ventilation didnt kick on and the temp shot up to 104F. Would this be enough heat to put the yellow and brown tips on the leafs? I tested the PH which is 5.3. I use half strength on nutes and havent changed the res in five days(meaning no changes to that). These yellow/brown leaf tips happened today cause this morning they were not there. Im pretty sure its the heat combined with the light but just want to make sure. Thanks

too much heat... no such thing as too much lighting

give them lots of water and just try to make sure your timers are working ..hope it works out.. they are gonna look heat stressed for a while tho
