I'm growing in 5 gallon containers of cocoa I'm about to harvest in a couple days my last two waterings were just distilled water and an attempt to cleanse a little bit they are very dry right now should I water one more time before harvest?

It never hurts to water your plants if they are thirsty.

Do you have any pictures of them? Based on how new growers plants usually look when they think they are ready I would bet you have several more weeks before they are done.

My personal opinion on flushing. .. be it soil, coco, DWC, whatever. . .. As it pertains to final harvest, is really just peace-of-mind & possibly etiquette based; it's like washing your hands after you pee.

It also accelerates coloration/"fade", which can simply be due to just starving the plant.

I have personally noticed no difference in my own flushed vs unflushed harvests, but I have no empirical data to back that, just my opinion and observation

What is your drying situation? If it's dry climate I like to water before harvest to slow down the drying process. If you live in a humid area I might do the opposite and let them dry in the pot for a day before chop.

whats the goal?
what are you trying to cleanse, the growing medium?
do that after harvest.
water/feed normally right up to harvest.
stressing/starving the plant isnt good karma.:peace:
