to flush or not to flush

I have read hundreds of articles and watched dozens of videos with mixed answers. I am using 3 gallon smart pots with mother earth perlite and coco mix. My plants are on day 40 from switching to 12/12. Most trichomes are cloudy, but no amber yet. I am feeding 900ppm at 5.9 ph. When do I start flushing if ever? Do I ph my city tap water (175 ppm) prior to flushing. How many days do I flush? After I flush or not, do I let the coco dry out for a few days to promote drying? Any tips? Thanks.
I just checked trichs, mostly cloudy with very few amber. on day 40.

Flush it bro. Don't let these dudes tell u otherwise. I flushed my plants always and then someone on here talked me out of it. Said it wasn't necessary. Now I have a pound of headache weed. So disappointing
