Just wondering if I've started the flushing period too soon. Any and all help is greatly appreciated as this is my very first grow. Afghan skunk.

Flushing and defoliating... You're off to a great start:lol:

I think a convincing person could make an argument for defoliation(not saying I'd believe him) if he was growing indoors. Maybe he'd try really hard to express his idea of maximizing the limited amount of light and space. Blah blah blah, but outdoors, outdoors you have no reason or excuse to go around defoliating your plants:wall:

Only leaves removed are yellow and dead. Curious about flushing.

Beautiful plant!

People flush or choose not to flush. If you have grown the plant with nutrients all the way there is a good chance the roots are covered in salt. If you have noticed the plant doesn't take near the water it used to the plant may need the salt taken off. I use Final Phase from Advanced Nutrients. One teaspoon of Final Phase in ph correct water the last 10 days. Good for hydro and soil. I love the way after a couple days the plants start begging for water almost every day. Then it starts growing BUDS on all over the buds on the plant - giving it a little more yield. Great taste 10 strains I've used when dried and cured out.

She gets a gallon of rainwater in the morning, with 1/2 dose nutes , and a gallon of plain late afternoon. All collected rainwater.

Sounds like she's taking in a lot of water which is great. You may not need to flush at all - maybe a simple flush with just water and ph for the last 7 to 10 days OR maybe just flush it for 4 or 5 days.. Experiment and take note..
